I didn't get Twin Peaks when it first aired. I was too young and too stupid. Luckily I remembered some of the scenes later and knew that it was my lane then. We won't have talents like this in our day and age any more. Studio system as it is now would never have another David Lynch come to fame. We are going to be stuck with directing robots like jj Abrams when the old fucks die.

Yeah, even guys like Chris Nolan, who I quite respect, don't hold a candle to the Lynchs and Kubricks and Kurasawas of the past...
    GET OFF MY LAWN dammit

My first encounter with Lynch was Elephant Man in 1980 and at 15 y.o. i was stunned. And hooked on his work ever since. Our world is already poorer without you maestro. Godspeed. Rest in peace.

The music, again... it shouldn't work. It's too simple, earnest, primitive. It's laughable, in a way. One chord songs, sometimes. BUT IT ALL WORKS.

I'm high as fk watching Fire Walk With Me and I got to say I haven't felt this nice in a while. Sad, but nice. Appreciating a talent.

I thought i explained that, i guess not. dudes a life long smoker. from what i recall from reading his book, he started smoking around the age of 13 incessantly, that alone is already pretty taxing on the immune system and the AHR. the AHR can handle a chemical stressor every now and then, but not 7000 plus unknown chemicals inhaled multiple times a day. COVID vaccines or vaccines in general work by attaching a dead, weakened, inert protein of the virus to some kind of adjuvant usually a metal which kicks the immune system into gear to tackle any other proteins that look similar to the protein found in the vaccine. in clean lab experiments, this just triggers acute immune activation which is quite neat and tidy and has a desired outcome, then shuts off once it has did its job. but the immune system in reality doesn't really work like that. if you are a life long smoker for instance, and you take a vaccine, not only one but two, you are just pouring more fuel on the fire by causing the immune system to be active when you don't want it to be. this is what is colloquially referred to as "inflammation", but let's not beat around the bush like. it's just the immune system doing things you don't want your immune system doing. emphysema 100% follows this same logic as it is things like inflammatory cytokines that are damaging the remaining lung cells, and these same immune efforts require energy which they also get from that damaged tissue which will most likely accelerate this condition and turn a 5-10 year prognosis into a 2 year death sentence.

When people get "long COVID"and other conditions, especially people who consider themselves to be "fit and healthy because they exercise a lot"well that is their bodies way of telling them that "what you have been doing is actually not that healthy to be honest with ya, m8". the body works through adaptive changes and hormesis. you cause too much adaptation and don't provide a period of rest, then your body is going to let you know about it. maybe not that day, but somewhere down the timeline. whether that be smoking, eating too many carbs and causing insulin resistance, doing 6 plus hours of cardio a day 7 days a week, deadlifting insane amounts of weight 5 days a week, eventually your immune system is going to be collecting on that tax, and it usually shows up in the form of life ending inflammatory conditions like emphysema, cancer, metabolic dysfunction, cardiovascular dysfunction, neurological impairments, etc. whatever was the thing that pushed it over the edge, is usually the thing that becomes the focus of the disease outcome

Just to be perfectly clear. i am not a "anti-vaxxer"just sayin that there is definitely some nuance to this situation, and you might want to strongly consider the risk of a vaccine if you already are a risk for chronic immune activation in its many guises
