Right choir frecuency cut?

    Hi

    i need to get prepared a few tracks to be mixed with a childrens choir later, but i don't know how that choir track will sound, and i need to leave headroom in the mix anyway... anybody can confirm me if an EQ cut like this can help?

    i think it depends on which vowels the choir is based.
    to elimate some un useful freqs just sweep with a bell Band thru the whole spectrum - with high Q value and high dB to spot any junk in the spectrum.
    to confirm that we need atleast to listen to a short bit. cos there is no really a rule how to cut stuff like this.

    Mixing is subjective anyway, depends what else you got going on in the track along with where you actually want the coir to sit :dunno:

    I dunno what ur techniques are, but I lowcut everything beside the bass and the kicks .. so if your choir is not singing very deep and bassy you should lowcut it around 60-70 hz (or higher, just get the bassfrequencies out) because other instruments will need that space then.
