FYI, I just noticed the size of the plugin installer.... 450MB

Unless this thing can pan me into alternate universe, I'm gonna have to skip it.

 

Bloated just like the msrp for their real instruments.

 

450mb?! Why so much? was it made in collaborations with arturia and acustica?

and they want the full user information address, email and phone number and join the subscribe and say they use your data for whatever purpose they want

definitely pass on this for me.

Ok, so it's a glorified (multiband?) auto-panner?
Soundtoys Tremolator or MTremolo(MB) / MAutopan(MB) do the job just fine.
Pass.

 

Can it do anything that good old Cableguys PanCake freebie can't?

 

We need a Superman emote/button that allows us to call on the Sister Site when reality and stupidity collide.

 

I was going to give this a try, but this seems to also ship with invasive DRM (CodeMeter) on top of being half a gig.

I think I'll just try https://sampleson.com/free-dyno-effect.html and aleksy's suggestions instead.

 

Dyno is not a panner, but more of an EQ / preamp finetuned to enhance the tone of electric pianos.

Here's a few freebies that don't bloat the system. Autopan [Terry west] Try his plugins!!/Concrete fx 2003/HY TP/Pancake/Sonic Anomly Surround pan.

 

This includes Gorilla Manager and Codemeter... Which is better to avoid it.

Alternatively,
You can automate the panner with LFO modulator which gives the closely related of the wurli effect itself, use autopanner if you kinda lazy, and also rotary plugin if you want perfect emulation of specific rotary speaker for your electric piano.

They do sound gorgeous, but not $15-20K gorgeous.

 

I owned a real Mark 1 Suitcase 88 many years ago. The original preamp (with three knobs and two faders) indeed had a very unique vibrato envelope due to it's design with two light bulbs turning on and off and two photo sensitive resistors reacting to the light. It was neither pure sine nor triangle or square wave, and when one side got lower and the other got higher in volume, there was a little "overshoot" and the overall sound got a little bit louder. You can hear this on old records featuring a mic'ed Suitcase.
