They're still around?

 

I swear their business model is based on confusion & FOMO… Overlapping libraries, core/full editions, elemental libraries that contain articulations from both core & full editions, converted libraries, discontinued libraries that have been rereleased but under a different name… I could go on, but as great sounding VSL libraries can be it’s a nightmare for first time investors to jump on their brand. Hell, I wouldn’t be surprised if by this time next year they will have introduced a third platform that will again force users to convert Synchron libraries to their new shiny sample player.

 

I take it that VSL is still strong on the Academic/Orthodox niche?

Or are they a white elephant?

 

You can dump VSL easier now since they switched to ILOK. The only problem is it costs you to transfer…. And yes, VSL is still strong among pro’s making the majority of the money within the industry.
