Darn, I meant to put this in the how to make that sound section. My bad. Can it be moved? :dunno:

I reversed it to see what's going on. Still confused. Any ideas?

This one, i don't know what it is. Is it just a synth? The sound that sort of winds down, if you know what I mean.

    Thanks

    1) Noise through tremolo and auto-panner.
    2) noise through some flanger/phaser and some modulated tremolo rate.

That would be the starting point.

@Menorah: how did you achieve the second example? I did that once or twice by putting the sample, cut it, pasting, and repeating. Was wondering if there's another way.
Actually the first one as well they are similar

@Menorah Both are very similar. (on a tiny speaker at the moment, mono) Would work in any case. How did you make it? Like Baxter said? I haven't has a chance to try his suggestions yet. Sounds like hit hats or something.

Basically I did what Baxter said:

I put a noise oscillator and the color of the noise is modulated with an envelope.

Also, the envelope acts as a modulator of the cutoff frequency of a filter (LP 24)

Then I assigned an LFO to the volume and graduated the speed of the same with another envelope to give that effect of speed decay.

I finally assigned a flanger effect and set the LFO rate to zero and modulated the depth of the effect with the envelope that modulates the speed of the LFO of the volume.

I hope you understand what I say.

The software I used was VPS Avenger, but I guess you can achieve the same with Massive, Serum, Sytrus, etc.

Thanks both of you for your help. I was able to get similar results, just need to fine tune them to get what's in my head. Its always easier than I think. I just don't have an ear for it guess. :thanks:
