    Hey ,
There are some rules in the reverb in the sends,

Usually producers put 3 types of reverbs:
The first reverb is almost dry, high frequency,wide:100% and small amount of decay. (ambiance) (USES: KICK ,SNARE, VOCALS, LEADS, BASS)
The second reverb is more wet then the first, with less high frequency wideness:50% and medium amount of decay (room)(USES: PERCS, PIANO ,GUITAR, BACK VOCALS)
The third is reverb is more wet (100%) wideness:0% or 25% (mono) with large amount of decay with predelay (hall)(USES: PADS,CHOIR,PLUCK LEAD, FX)

    Is that good to use?

everyone has his workflow, for me it's a combination of both sends reverbs and insert reverbs on my projects

    One of the best channels

The only rule is that there are no rules.

Some people have the wet send/aux effects (on all send effects) at 100% wet all the time, so you can dial in the original with the wet in whatever mix you want (pre or post fader). Some people mix delay sends with reverb sends. Some people always cut the low-end and high-end on reverb returns. Some compress the reverb return. Some even SC compress it. Some have reverbs on inserts, so they can automate the dry/wet parameter.
Like I said - there are no rules. Only suggestions, which you can then alter any way you like.

Totally agreed that there are no rules, and you can even change your own flow constantly to add spice to your own sound, but looking at this find by the OP, it seems that this "formula" sets three kinds of ambience, from dry and less revreby to wet and more distant sounding. This could be an easy way to "place" sounds in the soundfield and keep a mix from muddying up and sounding flooded wet. I guess I'll give it a shot. Nice idea.

While there indeed are no rules, there are formulas and workflows that are highly useful. I think it is best to learn how one person says to do it, once you have that down continue to explore how others use reverb. Then once you get enough different styles you will be able to take all you learned and create your own.

Yep, there is definitely no rules on how use fx like reverb. But, may I add something here ?

There is one rule that loads of people missed in case of using reverb as an insert or send, EQ it BEFORE the reverb and NOT AFTER.
I've seen many times this and it's not really the best way to have an audio reverberated "clean" at least without any "bad" frequencies through out the reverb. Better to have a clean audio reverberated than
a reverberated audio which needs to be fix. Plus like this, you can easily shape the reverberated audio as hell ;-) And if you really need you can add another EQ after the reverb if you need to do something else.
Why this ? Because on one track that's can be ok . But when you've got 36 tracks with BUSSES, AUX, SENDS, RETURS, etc, all of your work is shadowed by loads of bad frequencies.

    cheers

one neat trick is having three reverbs all with different predelay.
set the short reverb to sync to 1/16th note
set medium reverb to sync to 1/8th note
set long verb to 1/4 note
