    Hello friends :)

How to make this when the note stops then the reverb comes, it's hard to explain.
I know this used in progressive house and trance music.

What you're looking for is called sidechain compression.

You will need two mixer tracks. One is your Sound (synth, or whatever), and the second is your reverb.
Route the first mixer track to the second and put a reverb on the second (set it to 100% wet).
Now add a compressor to the second track and and set the synth-track as the sidechain source. This step works differently depending on the plugin you're using so I will explain it for the Fruity Limiter (because if you have FL you should have the limiter, too.)
Add the Fruity Limiter on the reverb track (behind your reverb plugin).
Click on "Comp" on the bottom of the plugin.
Now you need to set your sidechain channel by clicking and dragging the little box next to the "comp" text you just clicked. In your case you should only be able to set it to either "---" or "1" so choose "1".
Setting up the compression is a bit tricky if you have no experience. Turn the threshold knob down and the ratio up and play with the release amount of the envelope.
    should look kinda like this:

well maybe watching a youtube tutorial might be better

    @ Virtnet,

As well as to understand !!!

You can perhaps use ('write') an 'Automation' (within your usual 'DAW') to 'engage' your 'Reverb FX' Plugin (which was 'bypassed' before, of course !) at the exact moment where that 'famous' Note stops...

It seems to me that 'Virtnet' is rather looking for some 'Reverb' Effect, not exactly a 'Compression' one... or maybe I'm wrong !?! :dunno:

I'm just a beginner myself so I'm not sure if this is right, but I attached a quick .flp file with this effect exaggerated. Notice how you can change the muted track notes in the piano roll which I feel gives more creative options and also let's you sidechain easily even when the main lead is swamped in other effects.

There is also a technique going around in EDM where you duplicate ur signal put a reverb at 100% wet in a Huge room and you side chain compress it to the main signal. So every time th main signal stops the super reverberated signals jumps forward. Its a newer trend.
