Those walking vodka bottles didn't even answer , at least 6 months - 1 year ago, when I kindly asked them to translate their Spire manual in 4 different languages, for FREE, or eventually, if they decided the manuals were important and could eventually bring a few extra sales, they would offer me a little NFR license.

Because yes, different manuals in different languages can sell a product or not.

For example, many french people will rage and rant, on forums, help desk, store after sales services, etc, because there isn't a perfectly written 'Molière -quality' printed french manual.

Some will say I exaggerate, but I promise you, if a french guy checks a manual, and reads *click the button* instead of *cliquez sur le bouton*, the guy is totally overwhelmed, lost, disgusted, feels like wanting to destroy the whole thing, and says to himself *how dare a company selling an international product without a perfect french manual* !

Of course, there are many exceptions. I've met 40-50 you french men and women, who had learnt a second language at least 3 years, at school, and could easily travel to London and order a big Mac, in English !

Last 1.1 update, I was about clicking on the checkout button, to order spire, at 50%.

But 1ms before too late, I said 'fuck you, if you don't even have the smallest respect towards someone who offers you a valuable and cool service , for free, and you dont even reply to an email, then, fuk you, I will check the r2r version.

Respect. Oh yeah, from the same guys who don't know the word 'goodmorning' when passing by a neighbor. .or the guys who just ignore the 30 people waiting in line, and smash ,ignore, shit on everybody, while he heads to the main door.

Also, 179 euros for a soft that is developed by underpaid young devs who must get paid 100 euros a month + 1 euro and 3L of vodka for each spire sale...and can only run 3 instances /4 notes per instance, before hitting 100% on cpu ... that's a bit expensive, DA? SI? DA? SI? DA?

They published manuals in 3 different languages.
It's clear that you can't expect too much from small developers.

Well, sometimes you have to be more persistent! Not all developers are cautious and friendly from the beginning.

You need a new cpu lol. But seriously, how do they know you're not going to mess up the translation, etc? Usually writing manuals requires a degree in technical writing. I get this is just translating, but still. You seem way more bitter than you should.

German do ask for manual in German. In fact I invite you to go on the sister site and check UHE related releases, I remember that a German guy said on one of them he would never ever buy a UHE product because UHE doesn't translate in his own native langage (Urs is German), but he does in others. And he said that in English btw.
And many people know the technical terms of synthesis, compression, etc in their own languages, because well that's how you learn them in school (at least in France where we still speak our native langage), and they can't understand them in English. In your small world ingeneers should take two courses : sound treatment and English ? Heck I'm fluent in English, I know all the technical terms, but I always prefer my manuals in French (if the translation is good).
This is an international forum with 4 different languages sub-forums, people are open minded. And they speak different languages.

How did Spire become so popular? Just because of the good factory presets and the regular releases of new EDM soundbanks, or what?
I tested the demo when it was released and wasn't impressed.

    Greetings!

We are happy to inform you about Spire v1.1.8 release.

+ Added Hard FM mode oscillator
    + Added 2 new skins
+ Added new presets to factory 6 sound bank
+ Added factory 7 sound bank
    * Fix microtuning Scala decoding
    * Some minor fixes and improvements

    HardFM Mode
It is a phase modulation mode. HardFM mode uses integrated solutions to create more expressive sound, which becomes saturated with a lot of harmonics and wide range of timbres. You can modulate any wave from "Wave" list. Selected wave acts as the source and the modulator at the same time.

CtrlA - Intensity of the modulation.

CtrlB - Frequency of modulator's note. It acts in a stepwise manner, as shown in the diagram. Steps have their area of detuning.

WT Mix - Slowly morphs (transforms) the current wave into the next wave from "Wave" list, which has a frequency of the note lower by the one octave (a kind of sub-oscillator).

Navy Gray & Light Gray Themes
