    It's much better on CPU now. Most patches barely break 10% on Live 9.5 x64 now. only a few of the more lush examples in the factory 6 set make it climb. This is more like it.

    i hope a new GUI comes soon, because i dont like that GUI, it looks like a freeware synth.

    wow this took them quite long to release and they are earlier as LD with Sylenth1 3 for both OSes.

    about year ago changelog was very huge, now it has 3 changes and one more soundbank that can be added to existing hundreds of banks...
    possibly, they added not all, because beta-testing was long and maybe there were more bugs than new features. That's why they reduced a lot of stuff to release "something of promised", but if CPU is much better - it's very cool. Better DSP - very very cool. GUI doesn't matter to me. Other new stuff is better than nothing. But Spire is the top VA synth

    It looks like there's been a lot of changes under the hood, so better get ready for a long period of beta testing. Until then it's better to stick to the good old stable version. GUI? I think the GUI is great, although a bit on the too bright side for me. Dark grey part with wheels is far more to my liking, but as long as it's not made with fake 3D perspective, I am fine with any GUI.

    @SineWave : Not enought beta-test time

    <Houston, we have a problem.>
    CPU spikes using it (FL Studio 10 32-bit). My workaround: Click "wrapping setting" button and select "Use fixed size buffer". Do it and no more cpu spikes (same using 1st release of Cakewalk Rapture Pro).

    P.S.
    ... it seems the issue is known (support)

    I guess I'll just stick to my old and stable version for the mean time. Not just because I don't want to come across any problems but also because I don't own this particular plug-in legit just yet :bleh:. It's on the list to eventually get it because it's quite a solid synth, but there are too many other plug-ins in front that I need and want to support before this one.

    Still, some work under the hood was the most necessary on Spire because the thing was a real CPU hog at times. I guess most solid synths are nowadays but that doesn't mean it's not something to improve upon just because your competitors can be just as heavy.

    I didn't notice the shadows until you mentioned it, now I can't un-see it and it's distracting :facepalm: :bleh:

    They're hard to see but there are huge blurry dark shadows under the knobs. At least I think that's what evorax is talking about.

    Who cares about GUI?
    The less resources a GUI takes the better i remember the days when all plugins GUI was only sliders and you had to rely on your ears not your eyes when you tweak the sound of the plugins
