This was of course NOT in Cubase's nfo, since it was my personal conclusion :

What does it means ?

1. There was two heads behind all the previous syncrosoft emulations, and not only Gouda
2. Gouda didn't participate in Cubase 5 crack (nor soft eLicencer crack for Arturia and Waldorf stuff)
3. Gouda shared his "secrets" with at least one team mate before he died
4. Present Team AiR are impostors (or all "important" members are gone)
5. Wait and see...

 

an interesting read. what are the state of affairs at present?

 

AiR is always my favourite team, i've started with them to know about scene releases, i've to say thanks for every single vst/daw/plugins they've done

P:S Where can i find a pre db site with R2R and other groups releases?

There were times when even Robin put on the cowl because Gotham needed it.

 

i get the feeling that many forget the so called scene and all the goodies it provides wouldn't exist if it only consisted of just musicians.

for many, i speculate it could be more than 50%, its a hobby, excitement, the executing, the consuming, the chase, the logins to the right places and of course the hoarding.
the releases with their different groups, logos, schisms its net culture or sub-culture if you wish.

personally i stopped picking up stuff randomly years ago but i still find it intriguing with the whole deal of groups and their history.

with just musicians involved there would hardly be a sample-pack release a year, and that release would be 5 years old.

They're absolutely kicking our arses by giving us scraps of what they cangive us here and there. Thrilled. But on the other hand I stopped caring for one reason: I use an old Windows OS, I have more than enough of everything to make me happy [paid and free], and I don't care that much to get more of the new stuff. I make more music than ever before.

However, it would be nice to get a bit more of the "action" like in the old times. It makes things more interesting!

Ditto. I believe this is the most important "side effect" of the scene.
