i.m.h.o. there are no really bad delays. H-Delay is okay allthough i never use it. Soundtoys, Ohmboys, Sigmund even the Nomad ones are good.
I even like the standard Cubase delays.

But if u want something special, u should look for those qualities in your delay. Don't bother urself with looking for the best.
They're all pretty much the same, trust me  (except for some special features on some brands)

Real resonance is very hard to achive, I have a old Steinweg (German Stenway from the 1920s) and for me thats a real resonance.
When I put the pedal down and sing or play guitar is amazing how the strings interact. :wow:
But in plugin world is ussually made with auxiliary channel with a notch point (what you want to resonate) and reverbs/delays. To compensate the lack of live (comparing real reso) we can use some distortion and compressor.
Many auxiliary channels with variations can make anything sound amazing, and the key word is PARALLEL! :bleh:

For delay Soundtoys is excellent. Also been really digging D16 Sigmund and PSP audioware has some delay plug-ins too. They have a multitap and a regular delay. I hope it goes without saying that one of the products that were mentioned should be bought because they're truly excellent and we need to support the devs. I honesly would have bought Soundtoys a long time ago but the dongle is a no-go for me.

He was referring to ovalf's comment which had nothing to do with a plug-in, that's why I was confused.
