I don't understand drums at all! But I figured it about the only freebie I haven't really tried, so here's an attempt at a simple konversion of the MF Natural Drum Kit by Markus Fiedler. Could I get some folks to give it a test and let me know if it works as its supposed to? Thanks.

Ok,my honest answer is it's pretty rough.
It seems to be a lil too velocity sensitive on the cymbals.

Personally I would only use a couple of the snares,and a couple of the cymbal hits.

Mapping wise though it's workable/playable.

If you stick with just the kick and snare it kinda sounds a bit Clyde Stubblefield-ish.

It's a bit rough,but if you're new to it? Not bad at all mapping wise.

Conversion wise I think you did everything right too.

 

It glitches out when playing overlapping notes/chords. But it's not consistent. It also glitched when I had the snare offset by a 32nd note before the kick. And even the kick that plays has a muffled attack. And once the snare played normally when overlapping... See here (how it skips the notes):

Thanks for the feedback guys. I think I'll try to find some other PD or CC drum samples and see if they work a bit better as I agree these don't quite do it.

Deciding not to use a sampleset to create instrument when the sampleset isn't what you want is lazy? I've been lazy many times then as I've aborted a number of other projects after deciding the samples weren't what I wanted to work with.
The instrument is sitting on my mediafire account as linked from this thread, you or anyone else is welcome to complete it as long as you credit Markus Fiedler.
