Please forgive me in advance as I'm not entirely sure if this is the right place for this post as I'm a new user here. Anyways I replaced a library file by disabling SIP protection temporarily for the install of Eventide Blackhole... I had a ton of issues getting my Mac to boot again following that when re enabling SIP protection so I had to keep it disabled then replace the file again...

As of that occurrence, upon resolving it, the plugin works fine. However my daw now freezes up after one successful consolidation, freeze/flatten or export. I have to continuously force quit upon my second attempt to perform one of the tasks listed above within my DAW.

This nightmare has completely destroyed my workflow. Could there be a correlation between this and replacing the library file or does anybody have any input on how this could be resolved?

I'm running Ableton Live Suite 10.0.1 via macOS Mojave 10.14.2

Unfortunately the issue is continuing. gorri helped out a ton but my daw still freezes following the second export, freeze/flatten or consolidation. I only have one chance per session unfortunately, if I avoid performing any of those tasks, Ableton works flawlessly otherwise.

On a side note, I'm running clean my mac and that ended up deleting my library/caches/ableton/presets folder... however I believe this issue occurred following the initial replacement of the libstxx++/6.0.9.dylib file which was done on an older/less stable version of Blackhole.

I'm willing to offer up a PayPal gift or GC as a solution at this point. It's truly frustrating having to save my project, close then reopen only to freeze or consolidate a track.

Sorry to hear that! Stay clear of CMM unless you know EXACTLY what you're doing. Anyway, the version I pointed to is the latest version that works with openssh dylib. Try turning on SIP, and then download 10.14.2 Combo update (google it), install it, and reinstall blackhole (adobe-patched). I don't use ableton so I can't emulate your problem.

Hmm this is really strange. It may not even be associated with that. I did a fresh install of the newest version of Mojave 10.14.5 and still encounter the DAW locking up following any consolidate, freeze or export up successfully executing it. Perhaps I need to reinstall Ableton. Regardless thanks again for your assistance gorri, I do greatly appreciate it. Now I need to find the Blackhole factory presets
