No, not ESP. I'm talking about sharing your screen and audio with a friend over the internet. I want to show them some stuff and get real time feedback for our collab, but I have no idea where to start.
I think companies usually use stuff like TeamViewer, but what about the audio? Is there anything better (and free, or "free")? How to handle the ASIO thingy?
Anyway, I'll do some research on my side and post my findings here.

    Teamviewer oughta work.

Also look up Discord, Skype, Webex, Zoom, they all can do screen sharing.

ASIO probably is going to be a problem, I'd suggest using WASAPI for those sessions, as you can easily mix in your voice for commentary. You can get decent latency using that, but whoever's watching will get some server/network latency anyway.

And how to send audio streams from the DAW?
I found something called ListenTo by Audiomovers, but you need a subscription to use it. Are there alternatives?

WASAPI devices should have a "What you hear" recording input, basically what goes out the interface.

You can try ASIO Link Pro (free), but that'll take some time to set up. Great piece of software though.

That is an install guide and the links are in the description.

I've been using Steinberg VST Connect for about 3 years now and it works great. There's a free (SE) and a pro version. The downside about this is that you need Cubase Pro as the host. The performer can download the free app and connect to the host (you). The performer can collaborate with audio and midi and you as a host can record this in your project.

I am pretty sure the discord app does this and it will share with multiple or even considered public.

fancier audio interfaces offer audio-over-ethernet options

I've used them in local area network(lan) but haven't tried wide area network(wan, internet). Latency under 2ms across seven server hops to your target.

Or are you looking for 2 people to work within 1 daw remotely?

I would prefer to use a Screen/Audio Capture application like Camtasia or OBS. You can do a short video and upload it to free file hosting pages. Programs like TeamViewer, PC Anywhere, etc, can work nicely; but generally you will have to create a rule in your firewall's ruleset to allow the Remote program's inbound/outbound traffic. Generally, this is OK; but it can also create a valid attack vector foothold to anyone with a port scanner and bad intentions. No thanks.

I wasn't under the impression OP wanted his buddy to control his workstation remotely. If I interpreted this correctly, "show them some stuff and get real time feedback," sounds like they could just call/facetime via cell lol.

Email them the .wav, call them, then push play at the same time = realtime

    :) has worked for decades

IF it's a really good friend, AND you want best quality, then self-host VPN so your both computers behave as if they're on same local network,
then you can use something like VNC for screensharing (or even control if you will), and Reaper's ReaStream for multichannel audio/midi lossless streaming - with limits only being download+upload speed of your internet and your friend's internet,
I did some tests of this, and I could play MIDI instruments at almost zero roundtrip latency through virtual instruments running on a computer about 25km away from me, it's unbelievable how well such thing can work (obviously latency will go higher with physical distance, but we're still talking about 10's of miliseconds at worst I believe

Best free APP ever https://www.sonobus.net/index.html#download. i use this for streaming the audio of my DAW PC to my Phone or Friends in the bets quality. I use remote desktop app to control my daw on my phone. Or teamview to work in same project together. Works great!
