Release velocity... why cant guess how it works?

    In the graph editor there is an option called Release velocity
    Somebody says that is about envelope in the sampler channel but i cant do it work...
    In youtube when somebody explain graph editor always "jump" that option¡¡¡

    anybody know how it works??

    For a start, the instrument has to be able to work with release velocity, and secondly, it is from the speed a key on a keyboard travels back up after you take your finger off from it.
    So you have to be triggering with a keyboard, and only piano libs and EP libs have this kind of thing really.
    Not all keyboard controllers do it, and not all sample libs do it!
    An 808 as in your picture will not do it, as far as I am aware.
    You can still program it if your keyboard doesn't send it, and the library has that audio in it.

    Para empezar, el instrumento tiene que ser capaz de trabajar con la velocidad de liberación, y en segundo lugar, es a partir de la velocidad que una tecla de un teclado viaja de vuelta hacia arriba después de quitar el dedo de ella.
    Así que tienes que disparar con un teclado, y sólo las liberaciones de piano y las liberaciones de EP tienen este tipo de cosas realmente.
    No todos los controladores de teclado lo hacen, y no todas las liberaciones de muestras lo hacen!
    Un 808 como el de tu foto no lo hará, hasta donde yo sé.
    Todavía puedes programarlo si tu teclado no lo envía, y la biblioteca tiene ese audio en él.

    I would even go further by saying that I'd recommend to avoid relying on release velocity because of the gappy support in most software instruments and use MIDI CC instead.

    IIRC some hard- and software synths have this rare feature too, but I can't recall which, sadly.

    edit: Ahh ok EP will mean electric piano ok
    And IIRC?
    Do you know some library to probe it?

    If you modulate the release time with it, yes, but there are certainly other options too, depending on the synth, ofc.
