Reissue of the Seaboard 10. Februar 2022 / Roli Seaboard 2022, MPE-Controllerkeyboard

Last year we reported on the insolvency of the manufacturer Roli and the simultaneous new beginning under the name Luminary. Here is our news from that time . For many years, Roli's seaboards attracted all sorts of attention, but in the end it wasn't enough to keep the company profitable in the long term. According to Music Tech, the end result was a pre-tax loss of £34.1 million. Of course, that can't go well in the long run. Under the new name Luminary, the company then wanted to focus on a different clientele: beginners who are looking for a start in the music sector with the help of the LUMI keyboards that are now available.

But what happens to the Seaboard? According to Roli, the company's entire team, including all rights to the name, patents, etc., was taken over so that it was evidently possible to raise enough money for the new start. And as announced in September 2021, there will probably be a new start for the Seaboard theme soon. The video published today obviously heralds this phase:

As announced in the video, a new Seaboard will be released in March 2022. You can already subscribe to a newsletter on the Roli website to stay up to date on further developments. Roli writes:
