It's actually pretty difficult to achieve. I've produced TONS of reggae the past 10 years and basically the only way to get there is by sampling. Personally, I go to youtube, find reggae riff tutorials, and use melodyne to adjust the chords to whatever I am doing. It's tedious, but produces fantastic results. There isn't a single VST or kontakt library out there that has sounds realistic, and boy have I been through a lot of them. Usually due to 3 things: poor handling of noises, notes are compressed/do not have any attack, or have a strange decay introduced when playing really skanks.

its a stratocaster/telecaster i think so there's got to be a vst! As for the chords & patterns is no problem, i might look for a decent sample/ or stick with refx slayer.

@iluvhiphop So Melodyne editing polyphonic material with all those artefacts sounds better than a VST guitar? I am confused, could you show a snippet of that? Le skunk is dog shit, Evolution rock standard and strat might produce something, but it's for Kontakt

Sounds like piano chords. Where is the attack? Maybe program in a flam and see if that works.
But yes, apparently it'd be less of a headache to play an actual guitar or use samples.

Look up Bob Marley multitrack masters (not on google, you can figure it out). Have fun sampling those isolated guitar tracks.
