Hi guys. Today I opened a project and Nexus asked me to activate. Any clue? Thanks

 

It's not just you. It's the same on my system, and I have seen 1 or 2 people complaining about the same thing in other forums. Not sure whats going on or why, hopefully they release a fix for it.

 

If you open up the plugin without a network connection you can access the UI, but none of the presets are available to actually play.

Have you blocked your DAW via Firewall? For me Nexus 4.5.13 on Windows 11 FL 21 is working just as before not asking for activation and i blocked the whole DAW for incoming and outgoing connections via Firewall. If you have not blocked it until now do so, maybe after that you will need to reinstall Nexus 4.

Found the fix with the help of @Marcelo22 :

1) Make sure your DAW is closed
2) Open your hosts file in Notepad - C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc
3) Paste 0.0.0.0 outh.refx.com to the bottom of the file and click save
4) Reinstall Nexus (and Vanguard if you have it)
5) Open your DAW and you should be good to go

Or just grab the fresh 3rd Revision to fix this issue.

 

Yeah VR just released a revision to the earlier v4.5.13 release fixing the authorisation problem. Grab it before it disappears...

You need a portable firewall to block your daw

 

Ingoing and outgoing

 

this is an addition to the hosts file. or simply get the production machine OFF THE INTERNET!

Hi, a bit off-topic I know, but I'm pretty sure I saw Italo disco expansion on sister site some days ago but it's not there anymore and I can't see it in other sites. Can someone confirm if it was there even if now disappeared?

 

Nope what you saw was Expansion Guitars 2 which was the last XP released.

 

Italo Disco would be nice....
