there's no sense in those av detections because its encrypted so its almost impossible that they can decrypt it and say if its code is malicious or not
But if it was detected while it's running or after being unpacked to ram this is another story

Nope ) easily ) just dont block Nexus 3 from accesing the network and if tou warried about it - run it in sandbox or virtual machine. Even MSFACT encrypted v2 presets converted and loaded on-the-fly via refx cloud conversion. just resave patches to use it offline

 

These static scans on a packed file e.g. on Virustotal are not worth much, if you'd read you would see that most just detect the packer, the file being packed or just generic/heuristic detections which is likely also just the file being packed. Tbh one of the most reliable engines when it comes to false positives is probably Kaspersky and that doesn't give any detection, also not during runtime.
Also, the file might be protected with WinLicense but the protection is very weak compared to what WinLicense is capable off, many of it's features haven't been used as far as I can tell. Infact, you can just dump the "unpacked" module with e.g. Scylla during runtime and you can throw it in VirusTotal and suddenly the detections go down to only 4 and none of them seem meaningful.
You can also do some manual dynamic analysis with a debugger, run it in a VM etc, WinLicense offers detections for all of that but it seems they aren't being used.
However this still doesn't mean that there couldn't be some added malicious code, just that VirusTotal scans don't mean alot in this case.
Since at first glance the dumped code looked readable/non obfuscated for the most part, it could be possible that someone posts a more transparent crack soon.

 

You are right but there are many older banks and without batch conversion it will take ages.

 

So, tested this on an offline PC, I really don't get this:

1. The presets do not load (the 170GB pack)


2. Everything else loads and is correct (arps, trancegate+++) - I can even select different skins
3. I have edited the JSON with this:

I have gone through every post here, and the common mistake is the double "\\" - but everything is correct.

The host + ip-adresses is blocked in the host file and in the FireWall.

What have I done wrong?

 

You didnt extracted the "presets.rar" into your 160gb folder
I did the same mistake 2 days ago haha

@ArticStorm Could you update the Windows and mac version adding one more step telling the user to extract the content of "presets.rar" and move the presets folder to the Nexus Contet folder?

i can see all Expansion Banks from the 170gb in the Nexus 3 .
When I press on one of these the Sound preview Plays. But when I double click and want load it nothing happens.
Each time the Standart LD Saw Init loads...

i can't find the Error.

checking result:

you can use \/ instead of \\, then nexus will write it / (and simple slash will then work directlly)

the suspect IP's are only a v2 factory presets result. if you convert the v2 presets un v3. (saved as user preset)
and the dll will not call these IP anymore.(no need to edit the host file)

the factory presets have nothing to do with the setup, they works with the Rom Samples folder. an oldie from nexus 2.
studio production 1 also use Rom, ROMEx2 expansions. crossing samples containers. it is also an old shit from n2.

the 16 last products are the updated library, you don't need 170Go of nexus 2 content more.
it will take only 21Go. with the best sounding libraries.

all the samples of the last packs v3 are tagged nexus 2.5 inside. reFX only updated the box.
Osc waves are still super cheap and the most evolved pack is Lo-fi.

without the choice to change the sound of the Osc using a preset. this rompler is poor.
only the midi seq Arp part is interesting.

maybe nexus 4 will be more creative on the routing for the samples and the effects. because this part is very limited.
it is more a toy than a synth. nothing is editable in the sound choice and tracks management.

On the file host you add the ip? C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\
