I'm happy to say I've got it running now. I made the mistake of copying the reFX folder to my Mac documents folder instead of the Shared directory. Edited the .json in there and it all linked up. Now I can sit and let this content finish downloading and enjoy Nexus 3 tonight. Thanks all!

step 4 isnt necessary , you can set step 2 to external drives as well, just drag and drop the content folder into the settings.json file opened in textedit and then replace /Applications/NEXUS library/ with the folder that appeared after you dragged the content folder into textedit

my content folder is called nexus 3 and the external drive is a samsung T5

So I I've got my .json pointing to my external drive content folder. I wanted all the library in external hard drive since its so large. When I am opening Nexus 3 its not seeing the libraries. What could I have missed? Can someone kindly give me the directions to load the 160 gb and expansion libraries into an external drive? Im on Windows 10 64. I read all 58 pages of this thread and didn't see that. Thanks in advance....

Moria included an install PDF in his last post (V2) on the sister site.
The installation is explained in a very simple way, and it becomes very easy to install for Mac users.
Everything is explained step by step and with screenshots.

1 - Uninstall everything from your previous installs
2 - install again but following the PDF tuto
3 - Don't forget to restart at the end of the install
Bonus info : the additional Expensions added earlier are not within the 170Go pack work fine too.

about double slash in windows for settings.json
you can also use \/ instead
nexus will load it and rewrite with simple slash.

it dont take simple slash directlly, it must pass by nexus first.

\\ works
\/ also
maybe the real hybrid settings.json should use \/ if it works on mac to.
both use the same files.

after doing this, simple slash are taken without missing content alert.
the missing content alert will delete the library location line in the setting.json. you should make a backup first.

 

You could also use something like this (replace \\ with /)

A query, last night in Audionews they published reFX Nexus 3 Vintage Expansion Bundle, and this morning they should have eliminated it, does anyone know if they eliminated it because it did not work or for something else? Thanks
