Would like to try out the acoustic instruments presets, like guitars and strings, but I'm a little bit suspicious about the source. Other than that the 160 GB of samples is something to consider also.

For what's it worth, I've been playing with it for the whole day and had 0 problems. Just make sure you do everything in your power to block those fishy connections.

 

Is that enough to block the connection?

 

Are the fishy connections only associated with the Windows release? I'm on a Mac & would love to keep Little Snitch uninstalled because they still havent fixed the memory leak problem. Should Mac users simply modify their host file with the same addresses as Windows?

 

Hi guys have read instructions etc but some questions remain. Will all the expansions fully work on Mac/ Catalina before I download them all in Logic 10.6.1? Also what connections need blocked via little snitch? Thanks in advance you wonderful human beings

It works when I'm offline too, like completely offline. I've blocked DAW and those addresses Nexus3 tries to connect to and it works. Only issue is with missing samples, but you can just remove those expansions and wait if someone releases them later.

Got it. About these missing samples, there are much of them? And, there is a pattern for them (like, only the most recent expansions are missing samples) or they are random?

Nice, good to know. Looking on the ReFx page seens to be the latest released expansions, probably the ones that were released after the NEXUS 3 release, as well as some discontinued expansions from ReFx. Interesting.
