I just unpacked this plugin and bitdefender has already detected the virus, I won't even touch it with a stick, it's too dangerous for my production PC

 

does anybody know how to completely remove it from my system , the whole thing is sketchy to me and I dont want to risk it

 

Delete the Nexus files/folders.
Search for reFX & Nexus leftovers with Search Everything.. and delete these related files/folders.
Search for registry leftovers with Registry finder.. and delete these related trees/entries.

Take care about what you delete!

I do this with all software..

Just remove the content, VST + .dat and that one temp file from ProgramData. As fas as I can see it doesn't install anything else to anywhere, I tried manually searching for any shenanigans but didn't find anything

 

Two options I can think of (off the top of my head are)

- reinstall it and use Process Monitor to log all file access (filter it because PM will log all file access during install)
- open the installer (if it is an msi) using http://lessmsi.activescott.com/ to extract everything and then analyze the scripts

From one (or both) of the above, you can work out what has changed (unless there is something sneaky going on)

 

Finally, have everything working including the older Nexus 2 presets. 34k presets lol. Some older preset sounds bad though. Anyway, thanks!

You can change the avatar as well.
Change the avatar.png to any square pic you like and name it as avatar.png. The file can be found inside Refx folder (under public documents)

 

I can't read Chinese, so I let Google do it for me. Some of the translations on there are too funny

 

@Stevie Dude How can they do the third party expansions? Are they just the nexus presets with different sfx?

 

I wish there was synthwave 2 in it. Wonder if ther will be updates to the library

 

It's from the Nexus 2 content I got from rutracker. Merge them with the Nexus 3 folder.

I have Nexus 2 installed, I just placed it inside the folder and run Nexus 2 once to scan everything.

just head's up to those thinking of trying Josenacha magnet link for content posted on Z. Torrent was abandoned last night at 45%, still no seed this morning. Also torrent acting funny, seem like link construct poorly-- seeds listed that don't exist, same with peers. Will edit if seed show up again... may have downloaded 70gb for nothing
