Yes there are 170 GB of earlier expansions + new Nexus 4 expansions

 

Why does MCFACT problem with older project where Nexus 2 had been used can occur? I followed all the instructions and made a clean instal for three times

 

If your project was done on Nexus 2, then you need to finish the project on the Nexus 2 version as well. On the Nexus 4 version, (4.5.13 or 4.5.17) presets from 2 Nexus will not work.

Previously, on previous versions of Nexus, presets could be converted online via the developer server and used in new versions of Nexus. Only the server was shut down and the conversion of presets is now unavailable.

The Nexus 2 sounds completely different to the contemporary Nexus 4. The Nexus 2 sounds warmer and a bit more analogue, the Nexus 4 sounds a bit more brilliant and has more highs, perhaps also more clarity. The presets you created from v2 would sound more distorted and different on v4.

 

I wonder if we should write about the Nexus 5 here or will we have to start a separate thread? @ArticStorm

why you think is this ? OS wise ? processing power wise ? etc ?

Here I'll show you how I did it.

First I installed the Nexus version 4.5.19.

Then I installed the V.R update to 5.1.5.

Then I edited the Settings.Json

The Settings.Json is located under:
/Users/Shared/reFX/nexus/settings.json

Please only edit with a text editor.

Unfortunately I had no success with BBEdit and Xcode.

The Settings.Json should look like this:

In the /Volumes/Satechi/MacStudio Music/reFX_NEXUS_ALL/NexusLibs/Nexus 5 Content. folder.

Please do not click on replace.
Click Skip until Merge is prompted.

And lo and behold.....

All factory libs from Nexus 2 / 3 / 4 are then suddenly all there in the Nexus 5 folder and are also all recognized in Nexus 5.

Now I just have to find out how it works with the expansions.

And then everything would be complete.

I have installed this on High Sierra several times and could not get Nexus 5.15 to see any presets (( . I have used many tips here and on other sites, but it does not see the presets for me, although Nexus itself opens fine. I would be grateful for help!

Save/Copy library directory from the .json settings file BEFORE installing. If your preset don't appear after install open the saved settings and copy paste the library directory. The directory had returned to the default. Look around for the N5 library, it's in the wild.

Installing the library manually on a mac is easy. Move the "N5 Xxx Folders" into the respective folder inside the NEXUS library. - NEXUS library\Presets\N5 Factory Presets. ...Samples\ROM5. And...NKS\N5 Factory Presets.

what you have to focus on is this:

To copy you expansions location, GOOGLE how to copy a file location on mac.
WHEN YOU DONE, SAVE IT.
