It doesn't use any virtual network. Legit version calls home. This version calls home + 2 AWS servers. Nothing "virtual" here.

I just tested it myself. I just got some Nexus 2 presets.
When those are used, the message "Converting Nexus 2.0 preset to latest format, please wait" appears (sometimes doesn't)

But it uses the 147.75... IP (reFX), not the AWS IPs.

Thanks. I just need to know the working version and maybe its ROM/library. I found one 2.2.0 with 18gb download but it is 32bit. Is it that one ?

 

yep, its only 32bits, then just remember to do the double slashes and you should be fine

 

Not strange at all. If those guys reversed the source of the servers reFX are using, they'd have included some kind of local emu.
Which is not the case obviously.

It's easy because reFX weren't expecting this. The preset conversion thing will stop working soon.
They bypassed the protection, they didn't crack it. And some services will run as usual until reFX notices.

What isn't normal is that in addition of the "legit" reFX server, it calls two more servers as well.

 

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, maybe I'm being too convinced from other teams but I don't think they wouldnt think in just doing this, tbh this would be the first thing I would try to do if I was trying to make nexus work without an license...

 

R2R constantly call out Team VR because of that. That's not the proper way of releasing stuff.

I just hope R2R take a look at this, and examine all the cracks, servers, etc and find a workaround because the Liquidsonic has all their presets for the plugins encrypted as well and R2R managed to make it available.

It's gonna be awhile if reFX wants to change the encryption and that would mean all the legit users have to reinstall everything knowing that they have the same file as us now, and changing the encryption system only at their home server alone wouldn't do it if i'm understanding the concept of encryption, key and stuff correctly. It would need a new file for everything, if it is just the preset, that alone means redownload of hundreds of gigabyte and their customers mostly the working musician/artist wouldn't like it.

 

almost everyone of them, just 3 of the bells worked, also, now that you mentioned, thats pretty strange because I am using only Nexus 2 presets, and some of them (pretty low number) worked without internet

 

It'd probably take a while until someone releases a proper version.
Maybe they call this guys out on their NFO. Who knows. But don't expect R2R to be your saviors.

Doubt. Manuel Schleis won't probably release more expansions until this has been sorted.
