No offense , but I think Nexus is nothing otherworldly.
It's just a roompler that occupy much hard drive space, you can make sounds with other synthesizers low power processing as audjoo Helix and U-He Zebra among others both .
I do not understand why depend on a new cracked version to get new expansions and fill your hard drive for sampled waves.
I know that others prefer to focus directly on musical creation, instead of programming and create sounds with synthesisers, but I think it's worth replacing that space filled with hard drive for nexus expansions by some knowledge of analog synthesis, modular, etc.
After all , I think spend some time studying manuals synthesis and programmed sound will leave a knowledge that you'll never lose , besides money you save for other things , rather than go out to buy expanciones $ 40, $ 60 or the price are worth.

Nexus is okay but it is nothing special. I am much more interested in Lush or uhe. Learn synthesis and worlds will open for you with any synth. *yes*

And it's because of the security, why else would it not have been released?

Sorry to hijack the topic for a little second. Has ilock 1 ever been cracked??? I read somewhere that it was 'compromised' which was the reason behind making of iLock 2.
Reason I m asking, in the same place I descovered that some of our most favourite plug ins can still be authorized with iLock1 but we havent seen the updates

I already use the nexus 2.4 and i can tell it nexus is one of the favorite virtual synth i use in my project but they are other good one like Massive / Sylenth1 / Kontakt....

The good think about nexus2 it's the quality of the Romper you can have Synths sounds and Acoustic sound with a hight quality and a very low cpu usage you can use 10 nexus2 easy in project and the presets are very good but it's limited in other way we can not twik a lot so it's very limited for modulation or sound design but you can also create it with other plugin ;)

so finally nexus2 are a very good tool to have in his arsonal ;) but you can make music with out it ;)

 

The way I look at it is that if you're on PC then it's already been released and you're only missing some expansion packs which is really not that big a deal. There were PLENTY of packs released before they plugged the hole.

 

Some packs are very redundant.

Like Refx Vanguard full at 90% of trance supersaw and plucks.
Or Massive dubstep wobble basses...or Sylenth House/EDM presets

There are still gems, but they are hidden behind a wall of copycats.
Mac Nexus is another story, because there are compatibility issues and few third party banks working.

On Win, there are more than enough XP...and even more if you add some good "users presets" based on original banks.
Like the "XP Largo" user presets : instant EBM Goth

So, no, Nexus is not going to be cracked anytime soon. But i think Refx lost a lot of sales, considering you need to pay the price of a real Virus TI to get Nexus + all packs *no* May be things will change...

 

Ranting about the quality of a product you just never tried is a weird behaviour.

 

I'll stick with Omnishpere.. not as.. childlike.

 

I the Nexus and it is one of the favorite virtual synth I use in my projects.
I cannot imagine a popmusic-like project without it.

I is ideal for working fast because of the ROM-presets with finished sounds.
If you want to create new musical landscapes, then it is not the right thing for you.

 

if only nexus had a multi output midi channel like KONTAKT ..
