If the virtual analog, sampler and wavetable doesn't provide a "clean" saw wave, what do I use?

 

It's just REFX's version of a saw wave, it not being clean or perfect is probably what gives it it's flavor lol. and no you didn't "mess" anything up.

I loaded an old project in Cubase 14 Pro on which I had a Nexus 2. The new version N5.1.1 does not load the presets that I used on the old projects from the Nexus 2. Is there maybe a solution for that. Thanks.

Well, this is still the beginning of its work. You need to give it time and find the bugs. They will fix the bugs in the next versions so that the plugin gradually becomes more mature.

I should also add this: it doesn't freeze for me, it just can't be assigned, while in the matrix all the modulars are defined and can be added manually.

I think the bugs should be found and friends who have the legal version should pass these errors to the programming team through them.

For example, one of them is that I said they were not assigned. and that the UI cannot be saved on the number we increase in FL Studio, and of course when I activate the keyboard, the UI scale settings still get messed up.

The text is small, and when the UI is below 85, I personally have a hard time reading what is written. I have to bend over towards the monitor.

The black theme is good, but when you turn off one of the layers (not mute), the color in the routing section becomes very close to the color of the main plug-in and it seems like there is nothing in that section I think it would be great if it turned gray, for example. (of course, this problem may be because of my monitor, 4K monitors separate colors well).

 

I have reported this (and a few other bugs) to the developers and got the response that some of them are confirmed. They are working on it as far as I know.

Please, if possible, inform them of other bugs, such as not being assigned as I said in the picture.
Or some appearance changes, such as making the layers raw in the routing section or the text being too small in the plugin's low scale.
I think that if, like in the preset picks section, where we hold ctrl and scroll to zoom in and the text is clearly visible, they could do something similar in other places, for example, in the FX section or in the layer section or even in that matrix list section, all those small lists can be zoomed in and seen more easily.

In general, apart from the bugs, there is one problem I can say with it, which is that the knobs are too small and the text is too small. To fix this problem, I have to set the scale above 110, which would then make the entire screen a Nexus for my 24-inch monitor.
It would be great if each section and each section were resizable.

could someone please upload the NKS preview files for all expansions from the complete version? I have the preview files just for the Nexus 5 Library and maybe 4 or 5 expansions but I don't have the rest

 

But the ini patch probably use ENV / LFO to shape the OSC ...

They VA saw wave is maybe not perfect ... but you cant change their model.
If you want a perfect saw then use sample OSC and load a perfect saw, you can find ones easily for free on the net ...

Also remember that if you want pure saw only from the OSC model, you need to adjust maybe ENV and LFO as well ... they can modifiy the output wave too ...

It would be nice if the developers added a skin from Nexus 4 in addition to the Nexus 2 skin. I'm very used to it. And it's more convenient for me to work on it.

If possible, please inform the Refx team?

Thanks for the reply. Nobody was answering few days ago, so I had to find the answer myself. After I read the entire post on s/s and here and figured that installing it on top of the older version is the way to do it. Anyway, thanks for taking the time to answer it.

 

I agree, I'm sure it will all get worked out. Interesting you don't get the freeze because on one of my systems I get freezing in Ableton FL, and Studio One and then I did a fresh install in my other system and got the same freeze in Ableton (no other daws on that system to test) I just verified with someone else that the "D" key doesn't work in Ableton when using the "computer midi keyboard". Strange.

Uninstall again and first unplug all devices from the PC and plug them back in one by one until you find the faulty device/broken cable. Have you tried installing other software? You can also open the event viewer in windows and read through the error messages. What does the device manager and task manager say? So unplug your MIDI keyboard and reinstall it.

There's an issue with the "D" key from the laptop NOT a midi keyboard. Thanks for trying to help though.

 

There's a post about it on Nexus Facebook group and the info that the skins are coming up. I don't know about the N4 skin though, I miss that one too.

NEXUS 5.13 just has been released guys solving a few problems.

 

Yeah there's a Gigantor post right above yours from Playtime.

 

I feel like it will be N2 skins most likely. I think I saw a video of someone talking about the Kill Bill skin, I could be wrong.
