Guys, is there a visual skin editor for reFX Nexus 4/Vanguard 2? Because it's inconvenient to edit via Notepad++ or just Notepad, looks too complicated, programming is not for me...

Guys, don't advertise shops. They will be completely ignored.

Dumb reFX couldn't make at least a simple visual skin editor (or at least inside the plugin, like others have done), so you can see how the look of the buttons change, how the plugin body itself changes, keys, presets screen, etc., but if someone makes a visual skin editor for Nexus/Vanguard, and put it on the git hub, let me know here, and maybe then it can be posted on the sister site! We could of course team up and discuss it together, concepts there and so on, ofc if anyone is interested

Hello @Smøkkimau5, there is currently no skin editor. Maybe the following quick guide will help you:

The background can be a png. But all the colours of knobs, text, etc are specified in the json file.

To do a new skin, find the folder named C:\reFX\VANGUARD library\Skins\Classic. Copy that folder and rename it MySkin.
Edit the background.png however you want. Change the colours in skin.json. Zip up the folder and give it to people.
They put the zip file in their skins folder and it should just work.

The default skin is built in, and then anything in your skin file is applied no top. So if you just want to modify default skin, start with an empty skin file and then just apply the few colour changes you want.

Cyforce say: 1-2 more unfinished ones on the hard drive, when all of them done - I will upload them for free download

there is no editor, u go and edit the json file for a skin in a text editor. Its super easy if you invest 1-2h into it.

If I understood correctly, this skin should be in an update or in the Nexus Cloud.
So he looks anyway and you can supposedly edit well... let's wait and see...!

They do. It's the Classic skin. We can also edit skin files to a degree..jpg

Yes, I know that there are built-in skins and there are several of them, and I know that you can edit skins via JSON, but this already need to use a text editor, I already tried it, but the result was not great. It's long and tedious and inconvenient to change each item every time, and there are too many letters, you can get confused that way. It would be great to make a visual skin editor or website (here for example livethemes.co) so that you can see what kind of buttons you can make, and what kind of keys you can make, for example remove 3D view into flat view, change color of Nexus/Vanguard body, and then you can save as a new skin.

The Vanguard 2 is relatively new and if a graphic designer has time and you can earn money with it, there will possibly
be an editor at some point. I don't think so, because there are too few paying customers for it to be worthwhile.

The company TAL with his TAL-Mod has the tools to change the skin already on board. Very intelligent and user friendly.
Resizable UI. You choose your favorite UI colors. https://tal-software.com/products/tal-mod

Well, it's kind of a good idea, spending a lot of time changing each item in the JSON file to end up with a nice skin for Nexus/Vanguard. I hope a proper visual skin editor for Nexus/Vanguard comes along.
