this could be how it works with the new 3.4.4, I started with the original Chinese release and it didn't do that. It couldn't play the N2 presets. I noticed the notification about it converting the N2 preset to latest format with the 3.4.4 whether it really connect to the internet (reFX server) or not I don't know because I blocked the IPs provided by the OP. Maybe other members that have been studying the behaviour of the N3 could clarify about this.

I have no problems with bad behavours on my mac (catalina)
All the presets are playable and loads fast.
It was a struggle for instal this thing but at the end i'm happy. ( the samples dir is on my extern ssd)

I set the ip's in my router and make a complete backup before the install.

 

after 2 weeks of testing , what do you think about it ? what is your favourite expansions ?

N3 could encrypt the N2 presets (decrypted) from the reFX server.

This is what I found out.

 

well, i like the loadtime of the samples. This the first time use of nexus and i'm impressed of the sample quality.
(on Omnisphere the loadtime is very long on some sounds)

For the moment i like the strings preset.

 

Can this nexus be causing packet losses?

Guys I installed it on Mac OS and got the nexus to work BUT it cannot find the banks at all. I followed the instructions and changed the json file (to destination where the nexus Library folder is in Application). What am I missing here?

 

I'm confused. So that 160 gb pack doesn't include all the nexus 2 preset?

I think I only used the Rauschwerk 1,2,3 and the Swedish House 1+2 the rest is 30 other old Virus patches (nexus2). Those are my favourites.

most of the sound I like are the ARP, but I remove the stock ARP and make my own arp lines and the most important stuff, disable all the FX.

 

mod matrix is fun to play with:
the 4 macro buttons affectable to FX's can make fun presets to play live.

the poor part is the closed wave edition. it could be more fun by adding your own waveforms.
the box is not bad, but the samples are cheap like a casio first generation in majority.

You mentioned dll so I assume you're on Windows? I'm running mac so I think the plugins are completely different. If it is a virus it may act differently on the Windows platform i.e. lie in wait and activate later or work silently behind the scenes or something like that. I consider myself a savvy user and never seen anything like this before in many many years of producing music and tweaking macOS to suit my needs. There's definitely something up with this plugin but as I'm not a software engineer I can't say what it is. If people think a popular expensive plug like Nexus 3 would not be a prime candidate for a viral load I don't know what else would be. The fact that it came from the far east and no one can vet the original cracker should raise SOME kind of hairs on the back of some necks methinks.

I know, this might not be a revolution, but for the 'Tiktok reelers' of this Gen Z, this is a fucking revolution as they will get 30k+ usable sounds; sounds that big names have been using.
There are many Synth-Nazis ( I consider myself half Synth-Nazi ) who hate Nexus because with Nexus, one will not have to do a sound design or one will need no knowledge about Sound design etc, but the reality is Gen Z will be making millions with these kind of things while people like us will just do analysis and criticism.

Now, coming back to the actual point, the crack may contain virus (even more powerful than Corona or SARS) but what raised more attention towards this Nexus crack is the whole crack is worth fucking 4000 USD and Nexus was last cracked decades ago. Now, yes, bad people can take advantage of these two points along with the Gen Z's retarded mentality to use N3 as a viral payload .

 

Question can we make our own librarys
If so what audio convertors are available to make convertion to .nxs format?
