Windows only, using the license data from 4.5.4.
A library placer was added (making it alot easier to get the library to work work, thanks VR.) and all XPs released to this date work with this one.
Nexus 2 preset should load now without problems as it was reported by members here.
For detailed changelog consult the official changelog.
No new macOS version added! 4.5.13 for macOS was also added by VR. Enjoy Mac People.

0. New version 4.5.4:

This version uses a dumped license data, VR's installer pretty much does everything. But you can of course simply report any problems here or well post any other stuff related Nexus4, like which XPs are still missing.

So far no macOS release, but maybe someone can port it now with the legit dumped ("stolen") license. NOOOOO Requests in this thread! Remember AudioSex forum rules.

It looks like the license was only supplied to VR for patching Nexus4, it was never intended to be included in the release. (i read this somewhere, cant find the source now!). So thank him for the license, as he is now in trouble with reFX.

This release is fine, no need to block any ips, or take of any security. VR already took care of that. It is well worth to upgrade now from 3.4.4 on windows to this new version and finally enjoy the new XPs as they roll in.

1. Some General Information and Background

- The release is not safe in terms of having all ip adresses anf things patched, it does connect to some unknown amazon server, which is not the case for the legit Nexus3 Plugin.
- At the moment we have no proof that the release (windows) is safe, means it could be there is some malware code hidden, which we cant see with virustotal, since the binary is obfuscated by Themida/Code Virtualizer and thats why also this regkey is needed. (This could be done, because the original Reverser wanted to hide the changes in the plugin-dll and to prevent others from update it to newer versions.) We still dont know! The test which were done by different people here and other places show so far nothing suspicious.
- So far no team has claimed this release, the original "cracker" is unknown.
- It is known a bit about the origin of the release as @tcbbbb wrote:

2. Block Ip adresses

- It is important to be careful and block the following IPs, here is a list:

one of the ip is unknown and is not in the legit dll, when you run N3. We dont know what it does, but tests show so far, the plugin works without any internet connection for very long, people have tested and put the computer clock on 2099 and the plugin still works, all this offline.
It is better to block ip adresses then things in the host file, you can do this via Windows Firewall (google is your friend), or use something like NetLimiter and on Mac Little Snitch should work.

3. Installation

WINDOWS:
1- Unpack the archive and copy the folder named "VST" to your VST directory
2- Open the folder called "refx" then "nexus" and then open the file called "settings.json" with note-pad and in the "library_folder" string change the path to your current nexus contet (the fat +160gb folder) AND DOUBLE EACH SLASHES
EXAMPLE: "library_folder": "D:\\reFX Nexus Content Full 170 GB WORKiNG\\Nexus 3",
3- Copy the ENTIRE "refx" folder to: " C:\Users\Public\Documents "
4- Unpack the Presets.rar in the Preset Folder into the Nexus Content folder!

MAC:
1- Unpack the archive and copy the folder named "VST" to your VST directory
2- Open the folder called "refx" then "nexus" and then open the file called "settings.json" with note-pad and Change from:
"library_folder": “/Applications/NEXUS library/”,
To: "library_folder": “/WHEREVER/YOU PLACED/THE NEXUS CONTENT FOLDER/“
3- Place the "refx" folder into Shared
4(OPTIONAL for people who are using external drives):
Pointing the "Nexus Content Folder to a external hard drive (provided by @recycle (https://audiosex.pro/threads/refx-n...s-fixes-crashes-etc.58392/page-28#post-548190))
5- Unpack the Presets.rar in the Preset Folder into the Nexus Content folder!

4. What are the Current leaked/cracked version?

Cracked MAC version: AU 3.3.7 <-- 3.3.9 (they only released an older version, so far no 3.4.4 for MacOS )
Cracked WiN version: VST2 3.3.9 --> 3.4.4 (to load all Expansion Packs)

Nobody has tried yet to get Nexus 3 running under LiNUX, be the first to try it.

5. Information to Expansions

Until today (03-30-2021), all expansions showed up on the internet, except 3 ones (Happy Hardcore, LOFI & Hardstyle 3). Some of the newer Expansions do not work in the current versions due to the plugin version being outdated, Mac is 3.3.7 and windows 3.3.9, while the current plugin version is 3.4.4.
All Expansions are leaked, you can find them across the web. Lets hope reFX makes new Expansions still after this story.

6. Older Presets

Older Presets do work, if you allow Nexus 3 to connect to the reFX-AWS ip, it is used to decrypt the presets, because from Nexus 2.0-2.2.2 - reFX used MCFACT to protect expansions and presets. They dropped that for 2.2.3 and ongoing. But in order to still make newer stuff work they have a server which decrypts the presets and send them back to the user, who can then save them via resave preset and then save preset.

yeah it is floating around, but preset loading doesnt work yet, but im sure somebody will fix it in the wide internet.
