Reference songs downloaded from youtube?

    hi there


    i want to ask what u guys think of downloading reference songs from youtube, and use those as a reference for my productions? Is there too much of quality loss instead of wav files.
    I'm struggling to find a place to find good quality reference songs, and that leads me into my 2nd question where do you guys get your reference songs from?

    ps: i'm not sure if i post this in the correct forum i hope it is 8)

    As a more or less rough guide line this works perfectly, for a deeper sound analysis, not.

    Since you don't need dozens of reference tracks, I'd just buy them.
