Sides don't matter, that's a big part of the confusion, and a state of confusion is what the world is in. I find it hard to believe that every country's electorate are divided 50/50 during every election now. I am suspicious to the point that it looks obviously designed, planned, rigged. This is the time for all people to think of ourselves as brothers and sisters of the human family and not give credence energy to politicians who want us to fall on 'this' or 'that' side, who want us to continue hatred between nations and religions. This plane crash is very sad That's it. Move on. Questions of who did it, who deserves it and so on are actually of no consequence to us since we can do nothing about it. It doesn't concern us.

@mild pump milk: No, not all Europeans think that. You must not mix up the people with the european politicians or press. A lot of people thinking independently are not thinking Russia is guilty. Instead they think the politicians of the European Community don't have the right to do anything e.g. in Ukraine. Everything they do is making the situation even worse. Ukraine is the sphere of interest of Russia. We didn't ever have anything to do with Ukraine the last decades.

So, false assumptions on every side.

Who makes situation worse in Ukraine? Ukrainian politicians, Not Russia. Our interest is not Ukraine. Crimea yes, it is our territory, with our people. Crimea appeared in Ukraine not officially in 1950s and recently it was returned back officially, where almost 100% Crimean people voted pro. If we didn't take it back, there would probably be the war as in Donetsk, Donbas, Lugansk. Why? Because there live Russian Ukrainians which are hated by usual east Ukrainians. East and west part of Ukraine are 2 different, such German situation in 60,70s, that Wall etc...something same is in Ukraine.

 

But there *are* sides: your interests and their interests.

If someone wishes to take the world for themselves, and deprive it to you, then not taking a side (your own) means your defeat - dispossession, slavery, death.

Not determining "good" or "evil" - because you refuse to take sides - can only end in evil. We need to take a side - our own side - the side that serves "good" (emancipation, liberty, justice, harmony, equality etc). How can one not take that "side"?

Take a side! Just make sure it's the right one. And act impeccably - with all your power.

Russia (and France) opposed the Iraq war in 2003. The present is a consequence of the past. Nobody making simple distinctions is going to be "right".
