    Good afternoon guys, I have a question: I went to FL and I know that it handles differently than a conventional daw, then the following happened to me, in the mixer I want to record guitars, I separate two channels (because I take two takes and pan them) and I assign the interface input to each one. The point is that when I want to record guitar 1, guitar 2 is monitored (I know that it can be silenced by disconnecting it from the master) and even by silencing it, you can see that the signal continues to come in. How can one channel be recorded without the other being monitored? That is my question, as for example in reaper you disarm the track and the input is silenced, is there an option like that?

    just a suggestion, but you should include the application/plugin in question into your thread title. Especially this one, because many/most FL users will never actually record anything directly into it. you'd probably get more helpful reads/replies.

    Which audio interface do you use?

    The guitar output is "mono" and when you open a new track it should also be in "mono". You probably took "stereo".

    Audio interface = guitar 1 - mono output -> DAW = track 1 mono
    Audio interface = guitar 2 - mono output -> DAW = track 2 mono

    1.) In "Studio One" this is called "Add Audio Track (Mono)". Take a look in your DAW to "Mono".

    2.) Reaper: You always get two channels. If you have a mono track, you will get that out on both tracks.

    Let's define mono as the same sound coming out of both speakers, and stereo being something different on each side.

    If you have a stereo sound and want it mono you have half a dozen different options

    You could select the item and choose Left or right channel, or mono sum.
    You could use a plugin to sum to mono
    you could take any plugin and assign it's i/o to use the same input for both channels.
    You could set the pan mode to dual pan and set both to center
    you could set the pan mode to stereo and use the width control at 0 for mono
    you could render the item with a mono output.

    You'd better record your guitar with another DAW, you can then open the WAV with FL Studio.

    I only use Studio One and can only give you this one:
    [IMG]
    [IMG]

    Swap channels - Swaps the Left and Right stereo channels. Use to correct cabling errors from stereo mic recordings or to match the panning of pre-recorded audio to some visual such as a video.

    Mixer Track FX master switch - Left-click - Enable/disable all effects for the selected Mixer Track. Right-Click - Open/Close the user interfaces for all effects for that Mixer Track. When there are no FX in the Mixer Track this will be dark-gray and unresponsive. Useful to hear what your effects chain is actually doing by switching them all in and out together. There are individual FX disable switches on the FX slots.
