Recording audio using a MIDI instrument?

    Hello guys!

    I was just wondering if this could be done in some way. Say i have an electric guitar and a very nice bass library on Kontakt.
    Now this library of course plays with MIDI. How can i use it so i get the sound of it playing with an audio input like a guitar?

    There's one incredible plugin that converts guitar/bass audio to MIDI. It's for doing exactly what you asked and more things.

    Toontrack's EZbass has a feature called Audio Tracker that can convert bass and guitar (even percussion) audio recordings to MIDI. You can then use it within the plugin itself, as intended, to create a new bass line or you can export the MIDI to your DAW to use it with any other VST such as Kontakt. Not a live solution, if that's what you're looking for.

    You're welcome, my pleasure. I don't have a guitar or bass. Even so I toy with this plugin sometimes with my voice on the mic.
    If you look at reviews say, on YT, it's the best hands down. Well, any review.
    I advice you to look on YT to see the thing in action.
    It catches even chords. And all of it in real-time. The list of features is mind-blowing, seriously.
