Hearing about the recent wave of color bass effects that I’ve noticed since last year when I discovered plugdata and the kinds of spectral effects from Evan Bristow if I spelled the name right and it’s got me thinking what people are using for color bass since it would get used for more than just bass when I’m using it. What are recommendations for color bass effects that you’ve heard of, and especially the free ones? Spectral, vocoder, resonator, anything that works that isn’t one of the following I have known of:

Evan’s plugdata effects (as of the spring 2025 there may be more I haven’t caught up with yet)
Zynaptiq Pitchmap/Colors, Morph 3, Orange Vocoder
Xynth Rezonator
Prisma

if I forgot any let me know, I might remember something from the suggestions if it’s brought up but these plugins listed above I know about and if there are any other effects that don’t immediately come off as made for color bass let me know. Thanks!

*There may be spectral effects I know like Exp DSP Filtertable or the recent Smear by Lese but those don’t make additional tonal harmonics and are just for spectral sculpting and such
