do you plan on buying UAD plugins if you buy a Solo (and know how much they cost) ? What is your monitoring situation like? You mentioned you only use Virtual Instruments and a MIDI Keyboard Controller. Do you intend on adding any external hardware synthesizers?

from what you have posted; I would be looking at something like a Motu M2/M4, Audient, UAD Volt maybe, something more along those lines.

    Start by buying this.

this one is based on a genuine and very known controller from a very known company, many Asus motherboards past present and future, use their controllers, plus it's a x4 pcie so you know it's legit (hard to explain)

and send me a message so i can see how to help out with bios tweaking.

This is also not a sound card for making music. A sound card has AD / DA converters. A sound card from RME costs around 500 EUR, perhaps around half if used. A sound card, like your focusrite USB audio interface, is only designed as a PCIe slot card, which is where the short latency times come from. USB always takes longer because it is wired and outside of the PC.

Take advantage of the unique opportunity:

    Ebay

Strong hardware points of the new product also include new promising converters (AKM AK4620B). We've already seen them in the ECHO Audiofire 4 and RME Fireface 400.

The AK4620A is positioned for professional sound cards, DAW, and other equipment. The codec supports up to 24-bit 192 kHz for recording and playback. Signal to noise ratio is 100 dB, dynamic range - 113/115 dBA.

man the SSL2+ drops on a good day 10ms latency with 10 NI Massives playing in Draft mode on i5 7200U CPU (thats a mobile CPU with 4 logical threads from 2016 or so). I would like at upgrading maybe the Audio interface, the CPU+mainboard? Decide what is cheaper and could bring you more.

Which VSTs are we talking about?
