I had interest in PX7, an FM synth they had, but it was since discontinued and delisted, and impossible to get even if willing to pay.

What other audio company delists their own products for no reason?

 

iZotope don't give a shit about their older products no longer supporting latest iLok drivers

Get this: One of our relatively famous music producer youtuber was able to get into studio sessions at Abbey Road Studios London
They have multiple rooms with audio powerhouse machines and he was able to try one of the Protools projects there and he was checking out random chains with plugins so you could get what he found there was a cracked AAX Fabfilter Q3, Cracked Valhalla Reverbs, Cracked Soundtoys (VST2 version bridged in through like BC Patchworx, etc...) ah yeah and Cracked TubeTech CL1B...no joke he did a stream talked about this showing pictures
So for a very very long time nobody cares about legit or pirated stuff
Even Stephan Bodzin when he was nobody in 2005-2009 he admitted once in his interviews that he was using cracked Arturia synths and released & made money and made him famous.
If Abbey Road can get away without any consequences there's no matter if I or you anyone is using unlocked stuff

 

and as my goto example, Avicii (RIP) used some cracked stuff too
iow, everyone does it.

 

I know several people who mostly buy their software and installing that software for them is such pain in the arse, duuuuuude! Absolutely appalling and horrific experience. I always mention how they won't be able to use it if the company goes broke... because it's online authorisation. And I always mention they should only buy from good developers that sell you software you can *own*. Often falls on deaf ears, but once it happens to them, they're gonna realise the problem and how much money they've wasted for nothing. Then tell them "you should invest in some cannabis, rather.."

Because when this sort of abuse happens, we have no legal way to defend ourselves as consumers.

I'm a legit reason user having invested more than 1000 dollars on reason 12 plus rack extensions i can say what they did with authorization is a BIG PITA having to re authorize every year is not what was sold to me back when i got into reason now it's mandatory to re authorize reason every 11 months such a dick move from them also if you wanna stay up to date it's better to accept this but even then it's a dick move forcing us LEGIT users to reauthorize every 11 months

 

Looks like it. They never fixed the Iris 2 installer for Catalina and then MORiA did it. All Neutron 4 and Ozone 10 releases crash Live 11 on my side. I know it's not just me. They recommended legit users of Nektar to use a previous version and to my knowledge didn't fixed it. It's ok. I cut my losses.

Abbey Road Studios have no ethical or moral fibre whatsoever. They even replaced Paul McCartney with a look-a-like talentless knock-off after he was killed in a car crash.

The best things he said, all controversy aside, are the workflow statements.
He nailed it in any idiom, be it music, audio, video, any job. Once you have your workflow in a situation where it runs smoothly, you do not want to do the slightest thing that can destroy that. Be it an upgrade, an installation, anything.
Thanks for the video. It makes some all-too-real truths about the general lack of customer-caring, poor support and greedy companies who would rather compromise their customers than doing what is the right and proper thing.

Being of the older generation, the most priceless thing I possess is the people in my life who have loyalty. In business, customer loyalty used to mean something and businesses would ensure they maintained that. Not anymore sadly for all of us.
