now reason users have to be online to authorize reason 12.6 upwards and the authorizations are regular i will explain you have to connect to the ethernet to verify your reason license so i cant use cracked plugins like nexus 4 becouse it unregisters very bad on their side i will probably sell reason and stick to fl and ableton this stinks big time what do you guys think about this? i think it's a horrible idea bettewn this and the horrible latency issues reason has it has rendered the program unusable for me sinceresly

I think if I was an FL user still, and I saw Image-Line purchase the company UVI; I might be concerned they would re-allocate some newly purchased programming talent to their biggest money-making flagship product. "21 forever".

...or just use the scene release of version 12.6+ (when it comes available) disconnect the internet and be done with it. personally I find no further value add from Reason 11 so I don't even care...

    Audio company being anti-consumer. Shocker.
I use Bitwig & Renoise. Bitwig seems to listen to community feedback & Renoise doesn't even have DRM. I wish all DAWs were as consumer friendly as they are. Reaper has always had a great track record in that department as well.

I mean, Bitwig made a pretty big oopsie with the spectral bundle and only after community feedback did they reverse course, idk if that's a bad omen or a mistake. Time will tell though. It's honestly pretty depressing how terribly anti-consumer and openly user-hostile audio software is rapidly becoming. Of course, they'd cry "we must stop piracy!!", as if DRM does anything but punish actual, legitimate, paying users. Sad stuff, but thankfully it's not all bad.

I agree with the spectral bundle being a mistake; but the thing is, they did backtrack and release it for free. Was that out of the goodness of their hearts, or just a way to save face and potentially avoid losing customer loyalty? Time will tell.
