OMG I just can't believe it and had to check on Prop's site to make sure.

Well, it just took them 17 years to deliver what many people wanted. It's never too late I guess.

Finally Reason will be able to compete on the DAW market.

Seriously Was really about time for Reason to get VST /VSTI support. This is big. I didn't update reason since version 5 but this might change my mind.

I really hate the sequencer piano roll in reason & unless it offers something i can't already do in live then i'm not gonna get it.

    A joke...another one.
I was a Reason user since V2 to V5. Power user, giving some courses to my friends.
But i was tired when Record was out : why ANOTHER software ?
Why loosing my time with workarounds like Rewire and such anymore ?
Why not 3 screens to run Reason, Record and another VST host ?

Props spend their time saying : we are not going to do this. NEVER ! ...and they do it:rofl:

Audio recording in Reason ? NEVER !
They added a crappy sampler, they created Record, they killed Record and finally included it in Reason...all those steps to do the EXACT thing they said they will NEVER do.

VST plugins in Reason ? NEVER ! It was the most asked feature EVER.

They added a bunch of racks, combinator...but it was not enough.
So they added their own RE format, taking years to get devs doing it.

And NOW they bored devs AND users about multiple formats...they add this f*kin VST support, asked since the beginning ?
Imagine all this energy, time and money LOST for Props, devs and users. I know RE are modular, but be real : devs are not going to follow anymore.

Props are changing their direction when they hit the wall. Like a children toy.

Even for free, i don't even think i would touch Reason again and loose my time and energy.
This is only MY opinion, from someone who WAS a Reason power user.

I now replaced almost all Reason racks by VSTs in another DAW, and when i really need a full modular approach, i have Reaktor, M4L...

It's just marketing. Because Propellerheads are almost bankrupt or smth, now they'are introducing the "vst support" 15 years after (!) in a last ditch attempt to survive. Very sad, their "fanboism policy" (a-la Apple) did not work, and these are the poor results.

Might update my v6.5 after VST is a choice?? Maybe not!!

Funny/strange choice from Propellerheads after all these years.

"VST in Reason" or "How to piss of RE-Developers".
This is just a reaction to the loss of users.

I'm talking about the RackExtension-developers. They should get pissed after they will loose their support.

also talking about them, why better if they loose the whole platform?

Props currently has to increase the user base no matter what is the cost
