So the idea:
a) You have layed down just a few notes, making up a "global" melody.
b) Then you apply the showed Custom Action to these Notes.
Outcome: it creates a random "melodic groove" from the selected Notes.

i followed the instructions but "Custom- Create Random Melody Sequence and velocities from selected Notes" doesn't appear in my action list. The links for the 2 repositories are redirected by youtube. Could you please post them here? Maybe that's the problem.

 

Did you see the end of the vid.. ? you may have to create the custom action yourself in Reaper
just copy what they put in the dialog

 

Well, i imported "Custom- Create Random Melody Sequence and velocities from selected Notes.ReaperKeyMap" into the action list. That should work, shouldn't it? I'll try manually creating the custom action. Thank you.

 

Beware that you must import the Custom Action in Reaper Action List - section MIDI Editor !

Thanks vanhaze, i found the action now but it still doesn't work. See the screenshot for the action list (How can i manually edit that?). However when i export the action the file contains the following text (seems to be the same as the imported file):

Mmm, seems not good ..

First things first:
a) Did you succesfully added the repositories from kawa and me2beats to ReaPack ?
If so, you will then see many Actions from me2beats and kawa in Reaper Action list - section MIDI Editor.

b) I have attached a screenshot of the Custom Action used in the video.
With this, you can create the Custom Action yourself, by going into Reaper Action List , choose "custom actions > new" and then dragging
the used Actions as you see in the screenshot to the right (look then first up by using the "filter" function on the upper left).
