    my question is

do you usually remove this from kicks or anything with fast transient?

or its good to leave on?

    thanks

When Create automatic fade-in... in Preferences -> Project -> Media Item Defaults is active and set to def value 0:00.010 and the sample starts at the very beginning of the item, then you need to remove this fade-in. Otherwise the attack would be cut off/faded in.

I have it turned off because it's really easy to add fade in and out when needed. [just drag the upper left-right edge]

I guess this setting is most appropriate when you're editing voices or pads, background sounds. Anything with transients at the beginning is usually better left alone, but keep in mind that 10ms is not much.
