    Nope mine starts up, loads & scans rapidly fast. I'm actually moving Reaper up into my to-buy list above 2 synths because I'm getting on with Reaper much better than I ever thought I could. I'm kind of pissed that I hadn't tried Reaper sooner to be honest.

    I agree wholeheartedly. I've only been using it a bit under a week now and I'm loving it more each time. That's why I'm moving it up my priority list above other important studio purchases. It's a no brainier for me at this point. I'm not waiting 60 days to get something this great.

    Did you install alongside another copy of Reaper possibly? I don't actually know but that's all I could think is maybe they are interfering with each other if that happens to be true.

    I have 2 different locations it seems like too because I didn't uninstall the last version before loading this long demo version beside that one by accident I think but still I don't seem to be having any issues so far. Or maybe it's how Reaper sets itself up in separate locations? Not sure.

    Either way I'm probably going to uninstall these Reaper demo and long demo apps the day that I buy it. These practice projects I'm making isn't something I'd call good work more than just a test of how I get on with the demo of a new DAW before I actually purchase it as I learn my way through it, so I won't mind if they don't carry over correctly.

    @rollerball & @Donut Nyamer...
    Sorry, I forgot I had posted this when I later found the solution. Of course it can't be Reaper's fault, it's stable as a rock and has never failed me!
    I accidentally downloaded the x32 version and installed it over the 64bit which created quite a bit of chaos, easily resolved by simply re-installing the correct x64 version and all is fine again! :wink:

    They probably don't see the point of doing that since most of us are already using 3rd party softsynths anyway.

    I wanted to make a song using only Reaper plugins but I couldn't use Reasynth because of aliasing. His stubbornness about that sort of thing is kind of weird if you ask me. I get the sense that he's going to be a very crotchety old man :guru:

    Iirc, ReaSynth was just a signal generator from the start, not an actual synth, but after awhile it had gathered some more functions and they started calling it ReaSynth, so I don't think it was ever meant to be a very high quality synth :no: If you are looking for good Reaper synths, there are quite a few nice JS ones available through ReaPack :)
