For sure everyone has their own flow. Reaper for me is the most likely DAW being a fan of Logic.
I just can't go Mac at this time (the expense). Have the power of a top end Mac for a third of the cost using PCs.

If you give it some time, Reaper can become your workflow.

Admittedly, it's not that easy for just jotting down your ideas, it takes to much time fiddling around. No, it is not perfect at all. But it's so much better at some things than some really big DAWs, on the other hand.

My relationship with it is obviously love/hate. :lol: But once hooked into its features, it is extremely hard to find an alternative, because there is no any. I find myself working with other DAWs [when I'm forced to do it] and trying to do something that is easy in Reaper, but can't find it in XXX DAW. Reaper is so flexible and efficient, especially when you work with outboard hardware.

 

One thing to consider is that Reaper allows you to save your workflow as Track & Session templates.
So, as you discover new ways to work with Reaper, you have the ability to add to, or, take away from your workflow.

 

Somewhere recently, I had to do repetitive tasks in batch. This is where I found Reaper have this functionality at best.

 

Nice new features. That new "ruler region system" is genius. As soon reaper gets ara i have to sit down configure it and give it another try. Not only for tracking ...

Ohh Gain reduction api! Looks like cockos gets serious even with the gui .
