Looks like Reaper 5 is here before Studio One 3 hahaha. Nothing wrong with that, though. Reaper 5 will make many people jizz in their pants. Yes, even the females. :grooves:

Wow VST3? I thought the devs were saying that this is not a priority item. Maybe they read my posts bitching about DAWs that don't support a standard now that VST 2.4 is deprecated. Perhaps it's time to give Reaper another spin. :break:

    @ Andrew,

    Wait... 'Version 5' for about 50 $, thus that makes 10 $ per Version (v1.0, v2.0, v3.0, v4.0, then v5.0).

Not so bad when you think that most Users have used 'Reaper' (for FREE !) since longtime !!!

Two things that they just have to fix (implement) are:

1st: Plugin meters ahead of sound because of ADC when a lot of plugins with delay are inserted, it's really distracting looking at compressors, de-essers etc when they react a second before sound occurs.

    2nd: VCA groups.

and 3rd: Even better CPU optimisation.

That's all I need if you ask me.

Yes Studio 555, you hit the nail. Truth is I wanted to purchase REAPER two years ago, but even at that time there was 4.32 so I was expeting 5.0 to turn up soon, so I waited with my purchase (you'll get free updates only towards next major version). And here they come with 5.0 soon to be released.
Another reason why I hesitated is that I couldn't use custom name for the license (it's generated from PayPal, which often translate my name incorrectly).

Hey, I'm afraid we didn't understand each other, pardon me.

When I quoted things I want to be fixed/implemented, I didn't referring comparing to this new Alpha version, but comparing to V4, in all versions of Reaper plugin meters goes ahead of sound under heavy loads and engaging ADC.

Here's a whole discussion about it on reapers board (I hope I'm allowed to post a link from Cockos forum?)

Ha ha this may sound silly but did I read correctly that you can now dock the windows?

I've recently switched from Acid 7 to Reaper and one of the big pain in the asses for me was not being able to dock the windows like i could in acid pro
