    Hey everyone!

I'm hoping I can find my solution here. I'm trying to uninstall my Kontakt 5.3. I've done EVERYTHING. Literally. I've deleted all .components, .vsts, .vst3s, deleted documents, receipts, went on to the service center and followed the path and deleted those files. Its now no longer even on my service center. I downloaded EasyFind and deleted every file that said kontakt as well as any kontakt library I had and STILL when I load up Ableton Suite 9 I can still pull up a Kontakt. Only now it says it is a demo.

I am truly lost. I've read the thread about this on this forum and followed those instructions but it still isn't doing anything.

    Can anyone possibly help me!

    thank you very much!

do you have more than 1 vst folder listed with ableton?

check options / preferences / file folder / plug-in sources

Open ableton at top menu click options, scroll down click on preferences, select file folders, last section plug-in sources

also at the top of the same section, is the sample editor selected as Kontakt?

don't forget to also do a re-scan of plugins after you have deleted them

oh gotchya. sorry I didnt know you meant in Ableton

My Audio Units is ON and my 'use VST Plug-In System Folders' is ON. My 'use VST Plug-In Custom Folder is OFF. I rescanned and it still pops up.

My sample editor says 'No sample editer has been selected'.

thanks again for all the help! I appreciate it.

ps. I do have 2 versions of ableton on my computer. one 64 bit and one 32, both say the same thing as I mentioned above.

you must still have a vst hiding somewhere which is still being picked up by ableton. VST Plug-In System Folders is where you will find it
