Rate my beat out of 10...

I'll give it a C.

 

its good compositions and i did listened to the song til the end really
i found myself losing interest at second half and melodies stays the same so..

1- there should be a better mix after reaching half stopping everything but keep a certain melody going and then comes in
violins/symphony /orchestra from second half to pick up the song and to keep the song interesting

2- drums are good and fit right in...however i agree the drums kit is more hip-hop ish
there are few chilled out kits out there with ride snares/muted clicks and and ping pong ball high hats
you can be very creative here and make this demo a beauty

 

sounds corny, cheap and amateur. but at least it's musical at it's root, so you appreciate that (where as some electronic styles sound god aweful when made by people who's skills arent up to snuff). for some moments is could pass as generic library music (the stuff that gets licensed for generic tv/film/infomercials etc).. keep at it and in a few years you could be making great beats and look back at this one and understand everything i said is true instead of hating me for this comment

 

Sweet. Demo-ish. Needs a lead,a bridge and some proper drums. 6/10.
