Uninstall it and use the default setting for cakewalk library.. IE c:/cakewalk. That might be where your problem lies.
It's truly a beautiful synth. I had the same problem. Don't change the install directory, and don't move the default content directory
i initially had an issue with the fact that i installed it then uninstalled it coz of no library...................since then the lib became availiable and when i tried again to install, it was indeed in demo mode.........but after i went into my registry and deleted the content related to it and any existing cakewalk rapture folders too.................Then when i reinstall all is fine.......the only issue i have is i cant get it to read all the library and despite the lib install notes"slightly vauge" im still unsure where or how to merge em if anyone can help me with that id defo appreciate it n owe you one...Anywayzzz So if you initially had a demo or another copy of rapture then delete the registry keys and asccociated program files before install.....................also be sure to turn off your internet connecvtion when installing and dont unrar it whilst online as that can create the problem youve mentioned...................hope that may help.............now im off to try to reinstall all the library...................................Jynx
btw im on win 7 64bit i5 3ghz 6mgbram and running it on both fl12 and ableton which worked fine on butstill aint got the library running correctly.....................
also do remembwr to patch it before opening the program else it wont work either even if you patch it afterwards
What's DAW are you using? (plugin format) or are you using RP as stand-alone application? Running fine for my since couple of days, 64-bit VSTi, same config (see my signature) using default install settings first, but "Content" was moved manually to another disk (and I've changed values in Windows' Registry to reflect the new paths). Working also with 10.36GB Full Library (HEXWARS for MacOS X published some months ago on brother site, but after many ".pkg" decompressions - by using 7-Zip). I'll try to take enough time to verify more deeply, in case of Rapture Pro plugin will reverts to "demo" after a certain time (like timebombs can do).
I'm happy to see this thread getting attention. I really loved the first Rapture, which I'm still using. Perhaps there is some sort of conflict?
Please answer to questions in previous messages, like: - DAW you're using (brand & version, x64 or x86...) or precise you're using the stand-alone application. - If used from DAW: plugin format? (VST, VST3, 32-bit, 64-bit, AAX on Pro Tools...) - Have you installed "side-by-side" many Rapture and/or Rapture Pro versions? It's a pleasure ! this is a forum where we try to help us each other, IMO, when we can do it (free time, knowledge on product etc). I'm loving Rapture Pro synthesizer too (same opinion about Z3TA+ 2, also from Cakewalk), IMO (only) Rapture Pro isn't considerated "as it's just value". Of course, it depends of many things, like music style you're playing, sensibility, etc (sorry for possible English faults). For example, I hate "Spire" synth, I consider it sounds too "digital", very cold sound (I repeat, it's only my opinion), I prefer "analog" synths such Diva or Monark. However, my favorite is Synapse-Audio DUNE 2. My previous hardware synth was the Roland D-50 (R.I.P. since couple of years)... Rapture Pro (I'm using same version: Cakewalk Rapture Pro UP3 v2.0.3.96 WiN ....) running on my Win7 since previous message I've wrote here. RP is running on REAPER (as 64-bit VST3 plugin), using specific automations envelopes to modulate many synth parameters in real time, but RP continues to work like a charm: no crash, no "revert to demo"... The issue you're mentioning is very strange, and it seems you're alone. More investigations will be required... Last edited: Jan 23, 2016
Ah, didn't realize it was directed at me. FL Studio 12 64b, Win7 64 I tried both the 32b and 64b of rapture pro
this could be related to a problem that is discussed on the cakewalk forums about moving the directory over to another hard drive. For fixing that problem you needed to alter the link to the new directory as it is listed in the registry for certain registry keys. I will look into it more and get you some details and links to it being discussed on the cakewalk forums.
Rapture: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Cakewalk Music Software\Rapture this is the key and I guess you right click to change the link. below is from an email I got as I was going to mess around with doing this in my rapture and I have legit copies and could get some support on the topic place the files on the H drive. Go to where the rapture directory is located currently C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Vstplugins\Rapture Highlight the three folders Contents, Documentation, and Resources, and right-click on one of them and choose "Copy" Go to your new drive, and create a folder called Rapture. You can right-click anywhere in the blank space in the folder to choose New>Folder. Call the folder "Rapture" or something else easily recognizable. Inside the new folder, right-click and choose "Paste." The folders should be moved over. Then, make an adjustment in the registry so that the program can find the samples when you use it. On your computer keyboard, hold down the Windows Key and the letter R to open up the Run Prompt In the prompt, type regedit and then click OK In the registry, go to File>Export, and save a copy of your registry to your desktop. At the bottom of the dialogue box while exporting your registry file, be sure to click "All" under Export Range. If you make a mistake during this process, or if you accidentally delete something you didn't mean to, find the registry file on your desktop and double-click it to re-import it before rebooting your computer. Now, navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\link above You'll see the three paths leading to the folders labeled clearly on the right-hand side. Double-click on Contents Folder under Name, and then type in the name of the new location. Rather than including the Contents folder in the filepath, set the path to one folder back from there, so if your Contents folder is in a folder called Rapture, you'll just want the path to be X:\Rapture were X is the name of the new hard drive. Assuming your contents folder is in the location mentioned in the last step, the Documentation folder and Resources folder will need to be included in the filepath, so the paths will be X:\Rapture\Documentation and X:\Rapture\Resources respectively. That should do the trick if not the threads below on the cakewalk forum may be of some assitance http://forum.cakewalk.com/Cant-seem-to-get-Rapture-Pro-to-install-Multisamples-where-I-want-already-had-them-m3345871.aspx http://forum.cakewalk.com/Installation-question-Rapture-Session-m3324231.aspx http://forum.cakewalk.com/Rapture-Pro-missing-samples-and-missing-entire-libraries-m3215901.aspx http://forum.cakewalk.com/Rapture-Pro-missing-samples-and-missing-entire-libraries-m3215901.aspx http://forum.cakewalk.com/Should-I-upgrade-to-Rapture-Pro-Questions-m3323874.aspx http://forum.cakewalk.com/Rapture-Pro-Directory-Location-m3341924.aspx
@not sure would say for sure you did not swap vst3 with the patches,fl studio opens vst3 frist. good to know you can change the folder in the reg thanks some more info, if you ran Rapture Pro before you updated or added any new presets you need to remove some files for the new presets to show up by makeing Rapture Pro do a rescan,if you go to C:\Cakewalk Content\Rapture Pro and remove the files ProgramStats.xml and Rapture2Programs.xml this should make Rapture Pro rescan all files and make a new preset list. after this scan when you close Rapture Pro and reopen it the presets should be all there. If you ever want to add new presets to Rapture and Dimension Pro remove the file / programs.lst / then start up Dimension Pro and Rapture as a standalone let them scan for a bit then close and reopen them, C:\ProgramData\Cakewalk\Rapture\Programs\programs.lst C:\ProgramData\Cakewalk\Dimension Pro\Programs\programs.lst Last edited: Jan 24, 2016
im using it on win 7 and on fl and had no problem.......stupid question but did you patch the dll first before running it in fl??........coz if you didnt thats why its in demo....................and if you patch it after it still wont run......so if thats what you did reinstall it and patch it before opening it as i initially made a similar error
Nah, I definitely patched it before I opened it. I tried reinstalling 4 or 5 times. I'm reformatting soon to swap my OS, so I'll give it another try after I do that.
