As the title says, is the TH-U version from the sister site compatible with official, bought tone packs from Overloud? On their "How to use it" site, they imply that an internet connection is needed to verify the library, and I think the sister site TH-U blocks internet access to overloud, AFAIK..

 

I bought one pack just when they started with them (I think it was American Classics), and I somehow got it to work with a cracked TH-U. Can't remember what I did though. I think I unblocked Overloud's website just for a moment while I typed in the license key for the Tone Pack, and then blocked it again. When I restarted TH-U all of the profiles looked like they were unavailable/locked, but I could click on them and all were functioning. This was several years ago so it might not work at all now.

If it's a new pack that's still not available on the sister site, you could always share it with one of the mods, who in turn will share it with the groups, and in a while it will be available for everyone.

 

I'm not visiting this forum often, so I don't know all the moderators.. but if any mod is watching... can you put me in contact with the VR or R2R guys so that I can share the bought library?
