Recently installed the R2R studio one 6.6.0 release, worked fine but wasnt aware being connected to the internet would deactivate it (kinda new to this). I then went offline and tried to run the license again and worked fine but then out of the blue it just wouldnt accept the license generated by the keygen anymore. Idk if anyone else's had the same issue before but cant seem to find anything about this problem.
I even did a clean uninstall, blocked the presonus websites in the host file, generated a new license and tried activating it offline again but still it says something along the lines of "invalid license".
dont know what to do anymore, I would really appreciate if anyone could help me out with this. I really need this.
    Thanks in advance.

Setup an outbound block rule in Windows Defender Firewall for "Studio One.exe"

Happened to me, You need to block Presonus/Studio1 web addresses etc in your windows HOST file.

Once you do that it works no problem.

I had HOST file blocks - in the end it stopped working. The only simple solution that I found was blocking the exe...

With the help of a firewall. For example, TinyWall is a recommended firewall. The program is free.

    C:\Program Files\PreSonus\Studio One 7 -----> Studio One.exe

Blocking an .exe file in a firewall typically involves creating a rule that prevents that specific executable from accessing the network.
Here’s a general guide for doing this on Windows Firewall:

Steps to Block an .exe File in Windows Firewall

    1. Open Windows Firewall:
      - Press Win + R, type control, and press Enter.
      - Navigate to System and Security > Windows Defender Firewall.
    2. Advanced Settings:
      - On the left-hand side, click on Advanced settings. This opens the Windows Firewall with Advanced Security.
    3. Create a New Rule:
      - In the left pane, click on Outbound Rules (to block outgoing traffic) or Inbound Rules (to block incoming traffic).
      - In the right pane, click on New Rule....
    4. Select Rule Type:
      - Choose Program and click Next.
    5. Specify the Program:
      - Select This program path and browse to the location of the .exe file you want to block.
      - Click Next.
    6. Block the Connection:
      - Choose Block the connection and click Next.
    7. Profile Selection:
      - Select when the rule applies: Domain, Private, and Public. Choose as per your requirements and click Next.
    8. Name the Rule:
      - Provide a name and optionally a description for the rule, then click Finish.
    Additional Considerations

    • Testing the Rule: After creating the rule, test it to ensure the application is indeed blocked.
    • Adjusting Existing Rules: If the application is already allowed, you may need to find and disable or delete that existing rule.
    • Third-Party Firewalls: If you are using a third-party firewall, the steps may vary. Refer to the documentation of that specific firewall.
    Conclusion

Blocking an .exe file using a firewall is an effective way to prevent unauthorized access or communication over a network. Ensure to monitor the application behavior after blocking to confirm it is functioning as intended without network access.

I agree that using tinywall is more recommended as good and way easier and I used to administer firewalls for large companies as my job

You have to do this twice = one Outbound and one Inbound new rule.

I blocked the connection, ty for the help. The installer for all the loops, sounds, presets etc is now asking for a login in order to install these.
doesnt seem like theres a way around it. i selected everything i want to install but when i click "install items" the login window pops up and doesnt let me install the files offline. says "studio one needs access to your presonus account. please enter your email etc..."
