    Hello naitguy,
I use legal Cubase 12, the error is that after installing the legal Kontakt I do not see the portable version. I tried to set the ID to 07 as already explained in another thread. But unfortunately this has not helped so far.
Maybe it is because of Cubase.
I have also changed the name of the portable version. Maybe I made a mistake there. I'll check it.

Two years I have now tried in vain and with your motivation I have read everything again very carefully. Now I have run "install.exe" in the vst3 directory. This inserted a link to the actual installation and in the result I now have the possibility to start both versions.
    Many, many thanks

Hi, I'm having the same problem.
I know this thread is from a year ago, but I was looking for Bob Dule's version of Kontakt portable and somehow stumbled upon this thread :)
I use Cubase Pro 12 legal too, I have the Kontakt 7 player installed, and when I install Kontakt 7 portable (Bob Dule/Danilov's version), Cubase doesn't recognize it, only the player.

I'm trying to understand how you solved it:
    - Do I need to set the ID to 07? (it didn't work for me)
    - Do I need to change the name of the portable exe file?
    - What do you mean by: "Now I have run "install.exe" in the vst3 directory"? (When I installed the portable, the installation of the Portable version automatically created a link in C:\Programme\Common Files\VST3, to the Portable version that I have in D drive - but despite that Cubase doesn't recognize it).

    Many thanks!
