Can anybody explain in simple words the diffrence between R2R Kontakt and Bobduel's
which is best and why I need the simplest installation and access to most libraries

R2R tend to be my go-to for everything, but I haven't grabbed any of their Kontakt releases.

I always grab Kontakt Portable by vkDanilov, and I've never had problems with it. Note: my opinion here applies to Windows only.

As a note, I have legit NI Komplete (includes Kontakt) and have no issues with the two together. I don't know of any problems with any other releases, but vkDanilov has yet to let me down, so I keep with this (i.e., if it ain't broke..).

 

R2R Kontakt: Works just like the original Kontakt. With the pros and cons.
Bobdule's Kontakt: Slightly modified Kontakt that admits things like custom made .nicnt library files.

That's the most simplified description of both that I can think about.

my 80% collection is R2R and some of them are from old warez era . and the rest are from very random finds from torrent sites . that got me more comfortable collecting through torrent . so i went to the best Ru torrent site and that only had the other release in it . so i use that now and tbh its running completely smooth in win 10 . and trust me i went beyond and looked for R2Rs one but after awhile it felt like a extra hassle. it's not R2Rs fault either, they did enough for the scene . and the reviews from some of the trusted scene members says it runs fine in their systems, they faced no problems. also they can still use their legit products without no fing problem so no problems with the OS or anything either. that's like the best anyone can ask for .

 

is vkDanilov same as bobdule?
will I be able to download and update libraries from NI site?

Never had this problem, but apparently not all libraries will work with R2R versions,
they need to be properly registered/crackled? libraries..

Also Bobdule's includes an extra "Button" program for library management/organization which can be useful..

 

I'm honestly not sure if vkDanilov and bobdule are linked in any way.. groups, releases, same person or anything. Bobdule posts here though, so if he sees this, I'm sure he'll clarify. However, I checked a few Kontakt portable releases, and most mentioned vkDanilov, and I think one I have said bobdule, but the install text file was exact same for all of them and they installed/work all the same way (they all install the same structure and have use the same custom library manager). Maybe they alternate releases, or one used to do them, then another took over, or perhaps bobdule changed his nickname, or something. I'm not sure.

I'd definitely recommend grabbing the 6.7.1 portable install by vkDanilov though, as I think it will work well. I don't see why R2R's wouldn't either, cause they are the masters, and everything they do works very well. I just am not familiar with their Kontakt releases, though.

As far as your question "will I be able to update from NI site?".... do you mean legit Kontakt Libraries that you use legit Kontakt for? If so, yes, I do that all the time with Native Access. If you mean k'd (for lack of a better term) libraries downloaded off the sister site or elsewhere, then I'm not sure, sorry, as I don't update mine. I just download whatever version is on the sister site and stick with that. But I can say all of legit Kontakt and NI plugins work perfectly as normal in parallel with Kontakt Portable. No issues whatsoever.

 

Then you'll be good with R2R's version. I don't think you will be able to update oficially if you don't own a product at NI's site, however there's always someone releasing library updates unofficially on sister site.

EDIT:

Otherwise, you can go with Bobdule's version. It's usually less problematic: no "Demo" library issues, all libraries show up, additional useful features mentioned above, etc..

 

If you want easy install I'd go first with 6.7.1 portable by vkDanilov

I don't think him and Bobdule are related, at least as "vaccinators". Personally as a veteran Kontakt library tweaker I use Bobdule's Kontakt. I had a couple of crashes installing but since then it handles everything I throw at it. And it's a lot lol

That being said R2Rs version is fine for 90% of users. And it's cool that it can unlock (?) Kontakt player.

I am missing the simple explanation;

• Portable is most cracked, completely independent from all legit NI stuff, independent from registry and NI folder and files. It not seen by native access, which is good if you have legit NI stuff but also not seen by komplete Kontrol (and Maschine I guess).
  
• Bob Dule is fully cracked in the sense that all licence checks etc have been defeated, so all libraries work, new, old, not so perfect libraries and home made. Works with KK and Maschine.
  
• R2R is keygened. Only the key is replaced in the official exe and dll's. But only perfect complete libraries work and they have to be in the library keygen.

All work great and with neither do you have access to NI downloads/updates (without owning them), except some through Bob Dules own website.
Recap:
Portable is flexible
Bob is like legit and flexible,
R2R is like legit (with all limitations that legit has)

 

Bobdule is usually my Go To Kontakt, but since version 6.7.1 it can't be installed on my pc, so i use the Portable version.

R2R version isn't that good handling many libraries and non activated library. Just like they stated it's like a legit Kontakt

 

Go to bob dules website (google) and use the patched iso installer. This one always works.

 

for me portable by vkDanilov is stable one ,Bobdule random cash.

What DAW do you use?

For me, I use Reaper.. I install Kontakt Portable to its own folder somewhere. In Reaper, I reference the location to each plugin separately for loading the plugins in. When Reaper initially found Kontakt portable, I renamed it in the Reaper to something else to avoid confusion between the two. Some DAWs might struggle to load different "versions" of the same plugin though, not sure.
